I'm glad you got thos pics down until you can take the info off. That is a very common mistake -in our rush to get answers we do something like that! Many of us don't even realize that information along with our patient identification number is on the film.

Acute disseminated encephalomyelitis is a demyelinating disease that can occur after a viral infection. ADEM produces multiple inflammatory lesions in the brain and spinal cord, particularly in the white matter. It is typically a one time event. But evidence of it damage may remain even after symptoms have resolved.
Lyme's can also leave lesions after it as been treated. Some demyelination may never heal, and my always present on T2 sequences.
What is ADEM? My symptoms currently are a little bit of twitching here and there and when I get anxious, I feel a pulsating or sometimes a feeling of popcorn popping under my skin on my left shin/calf area. Sometimes I will feel a little something in my right leg too, but almost always my left leg.
Yesterday, I had a buzzing feeling on my scalp on and off all day. My neuro can't explain my symptoms but feels confident that it's not MS. I just wish I could believe him and stop worrying about all this. It's driving my crazy. I hate that this is in my life. I'm sorry....I know you all do too.
I was seeing the MS specialists at UCSF and have had every test under the frigging sun however, I made ANOTHER appointment with a female neuro locally. I've heard through the grapevine that she is excellent and doesn't stop looking for anwsers.
Yesterday, I started trying to change my diet and drinking green smoothies in the morning (32 oz. loaded with veges/some fruit). I feel horrible today....I don't know if I'm detoxing or what but I just want to go to bed.
Thanks for listening. Please let me know what ADEM is. Thanks.
A one time demyelination event could be something like the Flu or chickenpox follOwed by ADEM. Since there is no change in size or quantity, that handles the "objective." Now, what about the subjective? Are you having neurologic symptoms currently? If you are, how does you neurologist explain the symptoms?
I am going to try and take name off and repost.
You are right....I didn't think about my last name being on them. I'll take them down. Thanks.
Hi Carrie,
I took a quick look at them. I would have guessed MS. But that's the only thing it would be - just a guess. I don't know enought about them to say anything else really about them.
I'm with Lulu, unless you can modify these to take off your name, you may want to take them down. You never know who's out there looking around at stuff.
Good luck to you,
Kelly
I took a quick peek - we are all horrible at reading MRI's, though. These doctors dedicate entire careers to reading and interpreting these images.
You might want to take these pictures down, though. they contain your personal information and that really shouldn't be on the web for the whole world to see.
take care, Lulu
