Anyone got the number for roto rooter

Well, I think it's happened finally. I woke up this morning and could not start urinating. After about 15 min of relaxation techniques, I finally managed to dribble a little bit out. Fast forward to 8 hrs later, and I have only peed a tiny amount. So, after I get off of work, I'm off to the ER, ugh.

I think it started yesterday actually, as my spasticity started back up pretty good. I'm weak and tired and plugged up, lol. Wish me luck

Johnny

I thought I'd update on this.

I did not end up going to the ER Saturday. Instead I took some meds my Neuro gave me for spasticity, took a long cold shower, cranked up the AC, and took a long nap. After I awoke, I finally was able to go a bit.

The strange thing is, by Sunday night, I was going normally. I haven't had a normal bladder since March of this year! So far, everything is great. I am wondering if something healed up finally, and my bladder problems are through. There's always hope.

PS. thanks for the comments Frank and Lois

Johnny,

Wish there was something I could do - figuratively speaking of course.

I know all too well the difficulty, try to pee, nothing, frustration, increased stress, more tense, and on and on....and all the while the bladder grows.

Have you spoken to you dr. about self cath?  While it's not a "pleasant" thing  (not sure why it would be), I have had to do it off and on for short periods of time and believe me, the relief is well worth it. It is not as bad as some say it is, but I'm pretty much nerve dead from top of my head down (top of head where hair grows that is) LOL)

Hang in there (hoping you dont have to hang too long)

Frank

Hi Johnny,  This is not sounding good.  Have you had to cath before?  Have you had a problem with hesitancy before?

I hope you make it through the day, but I wouldn't push it.  If you feel too full I would take a couple hours off and go to the ER

take care,  lois
