Gilenya being reviewed

I missed this one and I don't think we have discussed it..... It is now reported that 11 people have died while taking Gilenya.  It is under review..........

In reading more, they are saying the incidence of heart death is similar to the same age population that is not on gilenya.   Makes me wonder......

I have had a slight increase in BP.  However, my normal BP is quite low normal 107/63.  It is now running about 120/80.  Now, For the pst 7n months or so, I have been on several antibiotics; including Levaquin, that can cause this.


Just thaought I would let you know.

It will be interesting to see how Novartis, the manufacturer of Gilenya, will handle this.  I hope they will be more forthcoming with information on these people.

My doc, and his partners, have suspended Gilenya use until more information is available.

Prior to my DX I was kind of looking forward to this DMD.  Now I am glad my doctor didn't put me on it after the DX.
