Symptom Returned... Sad

I hadn't had any symptoms since my last relapse that lasted July-December 2011 ( I was officially diagnosed in Nov 2011).  I started Copaxone in January 2012. My 2012 MRI didnt show any progression which was wonderful. Nor did I have any symptoms that whole year.
I was symptom free in 2013 also, but I kinda fell off the boat on taking my medicine mid 2013. I think I might be paying for it now :(.
I had an MRI in Nov 2013 which showed 3 new lesions, one in the brain, 2 cervical spinal cord. I'm wondering if being inconsistent with my meds for those months led to this. Or is the medicine not working like previously suspected?
I went to the neurologist yesterday for my 6 month check-up. He showed me exactly where the lesions were... and now I notice L'hermitte's Sign =[
I'm trying to not think about it, and become depressed. I hope this is not the start of a relapse.
Just needed to vent somewhere.

It s*cks that you have the flu. It can make pinpointing symptoms difficult. I'd wait until you get rid of the flu and then take stock of your symptoms. Feel better!

GG, the first medication I was on was Copaxone.  After a few months, it caused SEVERE headaches that didn't respond to any pain meds.  I realized that when I didn't use it I didn't have the headache or hives.  If you haven't talked to your doctor about it, you might  want to.  My neurologist switched me to a different DMD (Tysabri) and am no longer experiencing any of the nasty side effects.

Not that I have noticed. Well this headache that isn't responding to ibuprofen. My legs feel funny, but it was also leg day at the gym. I had pain in my eye one day last week and I've been having an unusual bout with hives =\

Hi GG - it's good to see you back.  It stinks you are in a relapse - that sure sounds like it to me.  but remember, this is a relapsing/remitting disease for most of us.

Keeping those drugs going in our systems really is important - we have talked about this before.  The best one of the MS drugs is the one we will take and stick with.  Hopefully your body will respond again - remember that can take a while - and you will feel better.

It's also possible you might need to change to a different drug if this one isn't working.  Hang in there, Laura

MS can progress with or with out symptoms. It is hard to say if it was inconsitency with the medications or how your MS progressed on its own. The main thing is to take care of yourself. May be you can have another long period with out symptoms.

I am sorry you are having symptoms again.

I'm sorry to hear that your MS seems to be emerging from hibernation.  Besides L'hermitte's do you have other symptoms?
