What do you really want for Christmas?

Hey Guys and Dolls,

Last night DH asked me what I REALLY wanted for Christmas? He was a little surprised that with out hesitation I said a reclining chair! I have problems with sitting, I need to be at a slight backwards tilt, head fully supported, my feet up and it needs arms so when I dont have the strength to stay up right, the sides will stop me falling out lol. It has to be not so big that it dominates the room, something that i can use whilst at the computer because i use a large screen connected to my laptop now I can't see very well, tall order but its really the only thing I REALLY want!

It got me wondering about what others are REALLY wanting for Christmas, so if you could get your wish granted, what would it be?

Cheers..............JJ

PS I think its a given that we all wish for the cure to finally arrive!

Well my daughter is happy. I got her an autographed Brad Pitt picture (from when he was younger) on ebay for a buck. Her Christmas is apaprently complete!

To go someplace warm for a couple of weeks and a pair of earrings. Actually? For anyone in my family to even think about what I want for a change instead of what I can do for them...sigh.

Jess, turns out there is already a "like" button here.  on the lower right side of the original post in the thread there is a like link.

You can click on it and register your approval.    I don't know anything else about this function but we could play with it a bit and maybe figure it out.

We have a long-standing joke amongst my sibs & I.  Basically, it revolves around the eldest saying one year that she wanted world peace, and the one next after me exclaimed, "What on earth would you want with whirled peas?"

We were talking about that book this morning at the cookie exchange.  Several of the women have gotten it and recorded the story for their grandchildren.  What a wonderful gift.

I want that Christmas book " Night Before Christmas" where you record your voice to the story. I promised my kids that I could read to them everynight even when I am not feeling to well. HOW PERFECT IS THAT!

MERRY CHRISTMAS HO HO HO!!

Ahhhhhhhh yes world peace would be good but i've been asking that for most of my life and still santa hasn't worked out how to get it in my stocking lol.

Would you believe, DH is at this moment picking up a chair, a small sylish leather recliner and matching foot stool, I have my fingers crossed as well as my eyes (lol) and hope it does the trick. Oh happy days, i'm like a kid in a toy shop, and its over a chair!!!

Hope you get your wishes!!!

Cheers............JJ

L6M - that is an excellent idea and I will pass it on to the MH folks who design such things.  Though I imagine they have already heard this one before.

Suma - Quix is really doing ok, but she is down for the count right now, recharging her batteries.  Being here regularly trying to be all things to all people takes its toll after a while and she has been doing this for several years.  She'll be back.....

As for me, my daughter asked last week what I wanted I told her "world peace and a new bird feeder."  I imagine I will get at least one of those things but wish it could be both.

Maybe a "like" button on here like they have on Facebook? LOL I find myself having stretches of days where I read, but never seem to have 2 minutes to comment on here. Or, someone has already said what I would have said. It would be great to have a way to click something in a thread so that people know you read what they wrote and are thinking of them.

I think that just having all my family home and together will be all that I need after over a year of my husband being away...and I am so happy that he is back from Afghanistan and will be home properly in one week. Yahoo....

Love Sarah

PS Perhaps also a magic fairy who does all the ironing overnight....

My wish would be for everyone....my husband, sons, extended family, friends and chat friends to learn the magic of the present moment.  To learn not to live the hells of yesterday nor make the hells of tomorrow.  I wish each of them to live in the now and see the beauty.
