I would love to move somewhere that it stays in the low 70's and even lower humidity all year long.
There's no better feeling than sleeping under a soft, cozy blanket when the temperature dips. It makes getting up in the morning more difficult though.
The touch of fall is definitely here in the midwest with cool temperatures, the changing color of the leaves and the rapidly shortening of the days. I could use more sunlight/daylight hours but otherwise love the fall and springtime.
It's been rainy and cool here (around 60). I'm loving it!! Perfect sleeping weather :)
Welcome fall!! I'm in love with sweatshirt temperatures!
The lows here in TN are around 40 with highs about 70. Almost prefect! :)
While the change in seasons is nice it also bothers me a lot as the colder temps effect my COPD. But what I'm looking forward to most is spring. By then I should be able to get around better and all of those spring flowers after a cold grey winter really lifts my spirits.

Evenings and mornings are cool now. I got over heated in the day yesterday. I like this time of year. Our weather can be all over the map.

It's beginning to get chilly here at night, maybe 50 or barely under. I am in the midAtlantic region but not right on the ocean. Since I had to run my AC all summer even though it wasn't a particularly hot one, I'm really glad for the cool, and so is my checking account.
In NYC in November, the fall colors will be pretty much over, and it's often a bit windy. I find that invigorating and energizing. However, since it's a transition kind of period, individual days can be all over the map temp-wise. Deebs, do you have a short trenchcoat, preferably one with a zip-out lining? Then add a shirt, jacket, sweater, whatever layers you need. A winter coat may be too heavy, but if you have options you can adapt to whatever it is. Many NY women wear tights, particularly patterned tights, and they're another warmth option. And those long skinny scarves can do double duty, not just fashion. I'm guessing the temps will be high forties-low fifties.

Well I wish that I lived where you guys do ;) it's cooler in the mornings - true- but daytime temps are still up in the 90's aargghh.
It should start to come down soon I hope - fingers crossed - but at the moment there is no sign of it cooling down much.

I love the winter time. I don't have as many problems with MS.
And here's an easy conversion to remember:
Converting "Celsius to Fahrenheit"
(celsius #) multiple by 1.8 (then add 32) this is the fahrenheit #.
Converting "Fahrenheit to Celsius"
(fahrenheit #) subtract 32 (then divide by 1.8) this is the celsius #.

& Pastordan:
If you guys ever decide to say hi, you can meet at my house. I think I am about halfway between both of you!
Heck of a windyday we have been having today!
Thanks for keeping most of the rain done there Pastodan.
Here's to the cooler weather, but not the cold!

"...weather-wise for NYC in early-mid November? Should I wear my winter coat?"
The thing about the city is the wind. I wouldn't bring out my deepest winter coat for that time, but would wear a fleece jacket and wind-breaker. Layers are good. If you feel the cold a lot, you might have on something warm between your body and the fleece. The problem I find with that is when you go inside buildings - usually tooo warm inside. I always need to be able to rip off top layers - and maybe stuff them in a bag. I'm a bag-lady, always have one with me - cloth bags from the library or a bookstore, etc.
It is like a breath of fresh air!! And my goofy family is complaining that it is cold. Phewy on them.
LA
Here in Portland, OR area we just got over some record highs and my new basement bedroom was NOT cool :((
But today the high was in the mid-60s where it should stay for a while. YIPPEE!!
As soon as the temp dropped below 70F my mood and energy sky-rocketted. I love it here!

Ok. Not too far from me. I am just about 30 minutes south of the Michigan state line.
It is going to be colder over your way. But the lake keeps us a bit warmer with the clouds.
There are lake effect rain showers coming off the Lake Michigan right now.
Good estimate. 7C = 44.6F. 45F = 7.22222C. I tried to do a "degrees" symbol, but the secret combination of keys does something entirely different on this website, for some reason. Anyway, when it gets that cold, a few tenths of a degree isn't going to matter much, right?
I am about 30 miles north-northeast of Columbus, Ohio, quite near the center of the state, where U.S. 42 and Ohio 229 cross each other. Not too far from you, if I recall correctly.
Doublevision-
I would wear my winter coat. November can be tricky at times but with it as chilly as it is now I would think you will need it by then.
I am in Northern Indiana and we have snow as early as September and as late as December. New York tends to be a bit warmer than we are here but can also be as cold.
Pastor Dan-Where are you? That is chilly! I turned the heat on. Low here for tonight is 45 so you both have us beat!
high 53 tomorrow.
Oh a Christmas music commercial on TV!
LA
7 degrees celsius (about 45 F?) up here tonight! Brrr! I had the central AC on three or four days ago; tonight, I turned on the heat for the first time in months. Tomorrow high is only 11 degrees celsius; Fall is definitely here and will be short; winter always comes too soon way up here in Northern Alberta.
Can anyone tell me what I should expect weather-wise for NYC in early-mid November? Should I wear my winter coat?
We have 30s predicted for Wednesday AM. Been studying the wipers on my new car as I pass by it, contemplating brushing snow out from between them. Crisp. Very windy here tonight.
