I have done some looking up and it seems it can be found in spinal fluid and maybe that is why the Neurologist was so surprised as it is unusal and my lyme doc ordered some tests so it may not be the usual to order.....
thank you Alli. Good idea! thank you will check it out :)
I have had some of the very same questions lately, with taking my children anywhere. When I am not at work, I feel like they have been locked up in the house with me. They are all very active under the age of 4. But we have been looking for the "mothers helpers" type people to come with me after work, help with errands, trips to playground, and just some light housework too. We have a few candidates. You can look up people with credentials in your hometown using care.com, it's pretty neat.
The other thing I have been trying lately is to plan no more than one outing a day, as it is exhausting. In fact, after some light housework this morning, my husband was kind enough to do the grocery shopping, because I could barely stand up. Take many breaks, and plan for help when you need it. That is what everybody keeps telling me, so that's what I will pass on to you. Good luck and feel better.

I guess it is something they have to order? for whatever reason mine had EBV plus mycoplasma....god luck! don'f forget lay down for at least 24 hrs :)
I am no expert. I am about to have an LP and asked my Neurologist if my EBV would show up. He said no. Now I am curious.
Hi
I think if you got a scooter like i have you could seat baby on your lap not ideal but better then her walking or a back pack but other then that i dont know how you could do a wheelchair and babie i cant do wheelchair and 3 kids they not strong enough to push me so got scooter but then could not drive been a yr got into my mobilty car today with its adaption and drove really hard, but hopefully this will enable for me in holiday times go out and meet my friends as i get left out and so do my kids because none can come see us and if they do there nothing for them to do we can fit in there car so spent a long boring yr at home mainly till today.
keep going take sticks i do two today to the cinema for the first time in so long!!
i know how you feel hun.

Carolyn, in case you don't know this - almost all women with MS go into remission and feel great when they are pregnant. The attacks become non-existant for the 9 months but often are even worse after the pregnancy is over. If you have questions about lab tests, go to my favorite - labtestsonline.org. They have so much info there and if you can't find the answer write them - one of their experts will reply.
feel better, L
Thank you will continue to go. don't really have anyone here but with the summer coming maybe can get the help somehow. i will search for the info on the EBV in spinal fluid and the mycoplasma. I know they are doing tests on the pregnancy hormone I hope I can be one of those who can be in a clinical trial as I was so well when pregnant. Providing my meningioma does not have hormone receptors I may be a great candidate. Miss feeling well.
thank you for your response

Hi there, I am losing my mind because I thought I had responded to you and then realized it was someone else who has not had an LP yet, but has great fears..... this has been a wild and active week here on the forum.
Unfortunately there is no way to edit your post after you hit the submit button - a lot of people have requested that ability but MedHelp hasn't done it , yet!
Please keep going to the park - it's so important for you to get out and mingle with other mothers and givey our child a chance to play with peers. The safety issue is a concern - can you perhaps hire a neighborhood teenager to act as a mother's helper and go with you?
I'm always bumping into things or about to fall over- fortunately I haven't done it publicly yet! I'm glad to hear nothing was injured other than your pride.
Hopefully some moms with young children will have tips for you.
my best,
Lulu
Hey guys when I make a mistake how do I go back and fix it? I do not see where I have the option to change my posts. I also asked in the disappearing post how the moms deal with meeting others at the park if they have a bad day walking. Other than falling flat on my face yesterday (baby was fine) IMy walking was bad and I felt the need to tell them I had a condition so they knew I had not just left the local bar and come to the park to play on the slide with my munchkin! Do you even bother to say anything?
This summer I want to go to the zoo etc but know at this point I will need walker/can maybe wheelchair for long walks. How do you moms do it with babies?
I have no help during the day. Do you just have to wait till someone goes with you. Havenot figured out how it is done yet. One thing for sure have to leave the house more before I lose my mind along with my balance. My youngest is 13 mnths.
Thanks
