Bed Rest

I am officially grounded by my Doctor. Well I did not have to be I am too sick to do much. I think my EBV is raising its ugly head again. I have to go get blood work again in two weeks. It feels like the EBV I had in 2007-2008 and the other times I have had it.

Well my husband and friends are being great. Even puppy beast did not get into anything while I slept most the day yesterday.

Thanks seriously for the tip. We have a dog door. I love my animals today they just were so bored they had to test me. Now they are all quiet.

I got tired of letting the 4 dogs here in and out.  I took the door off a few weeks ago and installed an extra large doggy door.  It is sized for Gideon (135 Lbs) and even the smallest of a basenjis flies right through it.

It was a great investment.

PETAs view that pets are slaves is all wrong. I am a slave to my five animals. ALL day long someone wants to go in or out or be fed or something. My cats are the worst. One ran up and down the halls bunching up the rugs meowing. I finally grabbed him and asked him if he likes living here.

Then the two boy dogs get into fights. They can't touch each other because I keep them apart but the noise.

Polly is even antsy since we have not gone out in awhile. She wants to work.

Pets are supposed to be so healing. BLAH, blah, blah.

So sorry to hear that you are suffering as you are someone who does not give in easily to the challenges you have faced . It sounds like you have no choice and I am glad that family,friends and faithful hounds are doing their best to look after you. Rest up and my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Alex,

I am so sorry about this latest round in  your medical saga. It is probably the only sensible thing I've heard out of your docs yet. I know this is driving you crazy. I also know you like to read the classics, etc and that may help pass the time. Get your rest and holler if you need ANYTHING.

Boy do I know what its like to have EBV.  I had it twice: 2008 and 2010.  $ucks doesn't it?

I'm sorry you're feeling like crap.  I hope this flare up will not last long.  God knows you need another issue huh?

Thanks you all the best. I am taking this seriously. When I was being diagnosed with MS I got EBV and ended up in bed for three months.

I hope everyone else is hanging in with his or her issues.
