Post Flair Blues

Golly, maybe I should write a song about this - except I'm sure nobody except those in our little family would want to hear about it...

Anyway, this last flair left me with AMAZING spasticity in both legs, and a limp in my R leg.  I wake up in 8/10 pain, and until I have my Baclofen and Ibuprofen (or alternately, ASA) with my Earl Grey, I'm completely useless!   I wonder - will this resolve, or am I stuck with it?  I know, I know, NOBODY knows!  The Great Spirit will help me get through this...

Riding my bike is out of the question now.  I'm hoping to try next week.  But for now, it's (low impact) Yoga, Yoga, Yoga!

Acupuncture this afternoon - ahhhhh...

Bluesy,
Guitar_grrrl

I am so sorry you are feeling so down.  Sometimes, in some of us with MS, we have relapses, then go into a remission and find that some of our symptoms keep tagging along.  Sometimes the left-over symptoms will gradually disappear as our bodies recover from the attack.  But to be honest with you, some of those hanging around symptoms do NOT go away.

Please give your body time to recover from this latest relapse.  Relapses take alot out of us and it takes time to regain our strength.  They don't call them "attacks" for nothing.

The one thing about MS you can be sure of, there are up days and down days, even when we are in remissions.  Stressing doesn't do you any good either.  It affects our immune system.

Give yourself a big hug and get the feeling that all of us are in that hug, understanding everything you are going through.  You are never alone, when you are here among friends.

Life can be a b**ch on some days, then we have to remember that the sun WILL shine again.

Hang in there dearheart.  We're with you.....

GG, hang in there.  I was a little depressed earlier this week, as I've been working on playing the bass, and Monday my hands were so weak and tired that I couldn't play for more than a few minutes - and I kept missing the strings with my fingers.

Today I did just fine.  I think I must have been going through some bout of weakness along with the spasticity, and as my spasticity improves, the weakness also remits.

GG,
Write away and post it over in our creative group site - we'll applaud and even sing along on the chorus if you need help.

Yoga sounds good, but the acupuncture sounds even better.  I'm overdue to get in and have another session - its nice to hear someone else around here also benefits from it.  I find it incredibly relaxing.

I hope your pain decreases and your mobility is on the rise again soon.

feel better,
Lulu
