Today's a good day, like yesterday and the day before

Hello Medhelpers,

Thinking of you Shelly, Jane, Alex, my icelandic friend, Barb and so many others. Okay, this is a bit of a boast post. The more I follow the Prof Jelinek program (and I mean all the elements) the healthier I gradually seem to become.

Three weeks ago I took away the bed in my office which had been my companion since June last year. I did this after successfully passing a month long 'stress test' involving several challenges including submitting a tender for a volunteer organisation, and preparing and delivering a 30 minute presentation to a group of business people on project management. Not once did I need to use my bed, so now it is gone!

Since Sunday two weeks ago, I have played an exhausting game of singles tennis, shovelled two trailer loads of bark chip on to the garden, and made birdie while completing 18 holes of golf. Last week I rode 16klms to work twice and even did it in a new record of 45 mins.

I am definitely not cured of MS but I just feel so darn good that I have to shout it to the world! If you would have asked me 12 months ago if I thought I could have done all of the above I would have said 'are you mad, no way'. But, taking things one day at a time, things are gradually improving. It seems that my faith is being rewarded - and I'm only coming up to 14 months on the program.

Another good day today!
Blessings
Alex

Congratulations, Alex!

I am also on a similar plan-- the MS Recovery Diet, which also builds on Dr. Roy Swank's work. I, too, am doing very well. Keep going, my friend. Your body can heal itself if you give it the right conditions!

Blessings,
Kellye

Hi Tingling-Alex so nice to hear from you and super nice to hear that you´re doing so well!! This program you are following must be doing wonders along with your belief in it and your self. I will maybe give it a try someday :).

My best always,

Hey ladies,
Thanks very much for the encouragement. Hope those of you in the states had a nice Thanksgiving the other day.

A special wow to the other Alex. I am in awe of your resilience. I did read a very poignant update on your condition which made me shed a tear of two. I am so happy to here you back on your beautiful horse again. What a joy for you and definitely the best medicine.

Thinking of you all.

Blessings
Alex

Bravo! I rode today after many months away from it. I find the biggest obstacles are the ones I create by telling myself I can't do such and such. Your faith is so phenomenal.

you're a great example of working at this a bit at a time and not expecting to be fixed overnight - your patience and dedication are paying off.  May this remission last a long, long time.
