They are indeed very strange symptoms, but as Lulu says, the fevers, arrhythmias, and abcesses are not typical for MS. Multiple sclerosis affects the neurological system only - it shouldn't affect body temperature, nor does it cause skin lesions.
When the CPK levels are very high, it means that there has been injury to a muscle - the creatine phosphokinase leaks into your bloodstream.
Google "CPK levels" and you'll see what I mean - you should find out a lot by that info.
We have seen infectious disease doctors, neurologists, cardiac. They have come up with diagnosis from Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome to Myethenia Gravis, periodic paralysis, polymiositis, anxiety was what one doctor blamed all the physically measurable abnormalities on. No one can find any one disease that would account for even most of the symptoms. The one thing that really stood out besides the symptoms I mentioned before was her CPK level when she was unable to walk. It was high at over 500. All anyone could tell us was that this indicated muscle cell death.
Hi and welcome. Your daughter is sure lucky to have you searching for answers. We're not doctors around here, so we can't help with the dx part of this. Have the doctors suggested other diseases or infections?
The abscesses do not sound at all like MS. The lack of reflexes also does not sound like typical MS - hyperreflexes is more the norm. Fever is not a known MS symptom either.
But then I have to add that there are probably 1,000+ sx of MS, and I may be leading you astray here.
Please keep us posted on your daughter's progress and be sure to take care of yourself too!
my best,
Lulu
