Pretty much just work for me, this week.  Enjoyed the first of our kale from our garden this evening.  Yummmm!  Sauteed in a little olive oil, salt & pepper, and a dash of white wine.

Still high from last night's performance with a couple of guitar buddies of mine.  I was fried by the end of the night, and still fried today.  It was worth it though...  We choose our poisons.  Occasional performance is mine.  I don't get stage fright, but there''s just enough stress in preparation and actual performing, that it really wipes me out!

Today was spent watching the repairmen fix the 4ft x 4ft hole in my ceiling from a leaky air conditioner.
Tomorrow I go to my neurologist to find out how bad it would be for a MS patient who needs regular MRIs to have an implanted neurostimulation device. The only other option given by surgeon was drug pump.
Wednesday and Thursday are packing to move and,
Friday I get the stitches out from my biopsy.

Oh new thing in my world, If I drink a cup of coffee, I have to change my shirt because it makes me so hot and uncomfortable. Last night I made chicken and dumplings for dinner, had to wait until it was cold to eat it. This is worst heat sensitivity I've ever had.

Have a great week everybody!

Mon. and Wed.- acupuncture appts
Tues.- first post-op appt. with orthopedic surgeon (had screw put in since fracture of left 5th metatarsal still unchanged after 3 months). I am looking forward to having the stitches taken out; they're getting itchy!

Other than that, my 3 boys are on spring break this week, so I need to keep them from climbing the walls; even though I can't walk due to the recent surgery!

My XH and I had a beagle boy named Gideon. He was huge (not fat) for his breed but otherwise absolutely gorgeous.

Of course we called him Giddy. It just seemed to fit!

This week is a much needed break for me this week.  It's Spring Break- my last Spring Break to be accurate (I graduate in May).

My friends threw me a surprise Birthday dinner and party on Sunday.  I've been having a really rough time lately as you all know, and I just wasn't really in the Birthday spirit, so my AMAZING friends, family, and boyfriend got together and surprised me for dinner at Olive Garden.  I hadn't seen my family in about a month, so that was awesome, and then we all left and my boyfriend and I went back to his house and everyone was there!!!  I got surprised twice.  It was the first surprise party I've ever had.  It really put my in the mood for my Birthday on Tuesday.  Anyone who knows me knows Birthdays are my MOST FAVORITE holiday, so the fact that I wasn't excited and didn't care about my Birthday this year was really alarming.

Tuesday- MY Birthday!! :-) I'm going home.
Wednesday- Going with my mommy to visit my cousin who just had a baby!
Thursday- Who knows
Friday- Helping my friend move

Good luck to everyone during your busy busy weeks!

I have my second Neuro appointment Tuesday to discuss what has been happening with me, how this second so called Flare is NOT going away. I really want to discuss further testing with him. If it's not MS, what is it????

I'm working all week and probably going to drink lots of caffeinated beverages to keep me awake - lately, I've been more tired than usual.

Good luck to everyone this week with all of your appts.

Bob, it doesn't sound like Gideon would be too safe around us - we would probably want to cuddle him to death - well, of course not literally. :-)

I hope this week we will find out what is wrong with my brother who is a year older than me.  He's lost over 50 lbs now in about 2 1/2 months. We're afraid that he may have what my mom had, and eventually died from.  So, please send us good thoughts.

Well, today I am staying home with my 5yr old who is sick : (  Although we are having some great snuggle times together!

Wed and Thursday - work
Friday - Neuro appt.  I am very anxious about this.  It is a follow up from my most recent MRI, and VEP test.  I had a Lyme test that came back positive but it really isn't matching up with my MRI results.
Sat - Me and my family are going to see my cousin's HS play.  Greece is always a fun one to watch.  I can't wait to see her!

Bob - I love your new pup!  We actually just got a new puppy a week ago.  There is something about puppies that can always make you smile : )

Shell - wish it was warmer here too.  It is chilly and rainy here today!

I hope everyone's week goes well!!

I thought I was quite busy enough with work, canine agility and exercise activities, household responsibilities, hanging around here and getting enough rest in-between.

In the past few weeks, I've added a yoga class and a sharing group which are provided by the MS clinic that I go to for treatment.  I'm feeling the time and energy crunch but know these are important activities for me.  It's been good to make a regular eyeball connection with people who understand MS.  Heck, maybe theses classes can even boost my wellness factor in the end.

I hadn't put much directed effort into activities that would help integrate my physical and emotional health since my official diagnosis.  Guess I was hoping time alone would do the trick.  When my first anniversary of life with MS passed a while back, it became clear I needed to concentrate my efforts on some activities for holistic health that weren't pharmacologically driven.  Hopefully, I'll get some time to share how that goes.

I have a different type of medical appointment on Thursday.  I'll be seeing a doc who can help me evaluate my personal cancer risk within the framework of my sister's current battle.  We had never given a thought to any possible hereditary factors.  Guess that's what happens when a family is so small (and male dominated) that patterns are near invisible.  Hopefully, we can help protect the upcoming (female dominant) generations and provide more battle weapons for my sista at the same time.

That's plenty for one week.  Hope you all have a good one.

Getting house together for moving in. Painting, and last minute touch up here and there. Will be moving this weekend. It was a long weekend and I am sure the rest of the week wont be much better but it will be worth it after we are moved in and things settle down.

No doctors appointments until Monday the 28th!!

OMG Gideon is too good to be true!  Look at his belly!  That face!! You just want to love on him. Yep, he is going to be one BIG boy when he is done growing.

Odd week coming up. Lots of volunteer stuff coming to a head in the next few weeks but this week is the real push to lay the foundation for the events happening next month and May.

Two kids of my friend staying with us this week while friend and husband out of town visiting ill parent.  And I am leaving on Thursday for my annual visit to my parents (just me) in California. Won't be back until Monday. A bit worried about how my huband will handle 4 kids, 10 yrs through 16 yrs, and 2 dogs plus his full time job, so I am doing a lot of prep work (cooking, laundry, notes, etc). It will be all worth it once I get on the plane.

Have a 6 month f/u with my neruo next month so I am already starting to write a list of questions to ask.  I feel like a whole different person than I was the last time I saw him. Not physically but maturity-wise. You grow a lot of years fast when you are dx w disease like MS.

Hope you all have a great week!

Sitting here wishing it were warmer for the 1st day of Spring, dagnappit!

Work, work, and more work. Aaaaah, does it ever end?

No appts at least this week - I'm glad about that.

I'm ready for something fun - just don't know what.

@ Bob - Gideon is sooooooo cute! He's going to be a big boy. Luna has only gained one more pound in 2 months. She's 5 months old and only a little over 18 pounds. I guess that's okay. My last dog Rufus (RIP) was 150lbs!

Well I have PT today and Thursday to work on balance, spasticity and strength training. I have a really good physical therapist. Of course I have to work all week.  I have a neuro appt Thursday morning. I am supposed to tell her which DMD I want to try. I think I am going to try Avonex. I also have a zillion questions for her. I hope she's ready. I'm making a list. I going to ask her to prescribe something for fatigue as well. Oh and I joined Weight Watchers at work. I'm not doing to well (Emptional eating. *sigh*)

I'm trying to find a counselor to help deal with some of the emotional stuff.

Well I am right in the middle of a really busy time at work, and on wednesday I see the Consultant who deals with my medication. The last couple times I have seen him has been when I have been on holiday, ( I work a school term) and life is much  easier to deal with then. So this time he is going to get me at my worst.

I will share my dissapointment at the neuro-physio visit, and the fact that I am in more pain than I have ever been. The last lot of botoxolin injestions round the eye didn't seem to have the same effect as the first. Actually he's really plesant and make me laugh but that dosen't help the cause!

Bob Gideon's georgous. Good luck Kate. S hope you have a good week.

Bob, Gideon is so cute!!!!!!  He is going to be HUGE!!!!!!  Just a suggestion but a friend that had a large dog taught him to use only one spot in his yard for his (coughs) duty.  It sure helped with clean up.  He may be young enough to teach that trick.  Also, I am so hopeful for Thursday's visit to the opthalmologist.  Let us know.

For me?  Again, I so love my children but they wear me out on weekends.  A constant open door and even with taking rests, I find myself trying to recover the first days of the week.  Would I have it any different?   No.  I would be crushed without seeing them...and of course my beautiful new granddaughter!!!

The weather here is beautiful.  I am hoping to talk a friend into a day out shopping or playing and of course sitting on my porch.  There I can see the rabbits and squirrels and hear the birds...I love it!  Thank you for Spring Miss Universe!!!
