Weird MS syptoms or something else?

Hi Everyone!
Im a 30 year old female who is currently waiting for my MRI to confirm MS.  I had a numb /hot/tingly leg in January, had an MRI and found 1 lesion.  Here we are 8 months later and my other leg went tingly/hot/numb as well as my right side ribcage itchy and dead numb and feels pressue like someone is sitting on my ribcage.  My nero believes that I do have MS there will be multiple lesions as its at a different part of my body (wehre the numbness is) so I am waiting for my MRI for october 23rd! ugh! Anyhow, the numbness in my leg and side continue but just yesterday my right big doe just started throbbing!!!! It felt itchy but it actually looks kinda swollen and a little bit red and also feels super hot!!!!!
I am wondering if this has anything to do with MS symptoms or something else? I have never had any joint stifness or anything like that before but I cannot bend my big toe at all. I thought it could be gout but I dont really fall into the category age wise, and also read people with MS usually dont get gout? I am confused! If anyone can help me explain this and if this kind of thing happens with ms it would be greatly appreciated!  Vanessa :)

Hi Vanessa and welcome.  The waiting for appts. and tests can be torturous.  Hang in there, Oct. 23 will be here sooner than your think.

I had to laugh when I read about your toe - I had the same problem just recently and thought my MS was acting up.  But then I took the time to trim my nail and realized it was an ingrown nail causing my pain for several days.  I was way too quick to blame my MS.  From what you describe with the inflammation, I don't think your toe is because of MS either.

Keep in touch, ok?
