MS diagnosis

I have had a tentaive diagnosis of MS based on an MRI and current symptoms.  I am having a spinal tap next week to see if it is indicative of MS.  I have a sizable brain lesion on the left side of my brain in the motor area along with several other lesions throughout.  What sent me to the doctor was a tingling, prickly feeling on my entire right side that now progresses to somewhat severe muscle spasms in my limbs.  Is that something that would indicate the diagnosis of MS along with the MRI result?  Most people I know who have MS or know someone who has doesn't exhibit this symptom.  Their usual complaint is of numbness and tingling.  Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the welcome. I can't wait to get a definitive diagnosis because I just want to get on with my life and address whatever is causing my symptoms.  I refuse to let it control my life!  Good to meet another Ohioan -- been one all my life.

Welcome to another Buckeye here - the ohio folks (me included) keep increasing in numbers.

I'm not a doctor or even trained in anything medical, but what you are describing sure sounds neurological and possibly MS to me.  There are so many different ways that this disease presents itself, incuding the prickly feelings you describe.

Good luck with the rest of the testing and stay in touch, ok?

welcome again,
Lulu
