What is MS fatigue

My friend has it and she keeps getting mad at me everytime I ask if she wants to take a nap or lay down. She explains to me "it's not THAT kind of fatigue". What can I do to make her feel better? Thanks

Thanks for that info.  I thought I had the fatigue thing and I will take a 2 or so hr nap and wake up and be fine, not sleepy anymore.  So I guess this isn't the MS fatigue.  It's probably just me being tired.  Glad to know I haven't had the really terrible fatigue yet.  Or hopefully not anytime soon.

I would not deny any one the chance to take a nap, however it doesn't help the MS fatigue. Sometimes all you can do is nap and when you awaken there is no difference to the fatigue level.

another member was also asking this question and we have a concurrent thread going on about fatigue.  check it out at

I hope this helps - MS Fatigue isn't cured by taking a nap or resting.  It is a totally different fatigue.

Thats funny and she is right, its so different.  It is hard to explain to others.  You can look at he health pages on here and they can explain it much better.

good luck, meg
