electrical shocks before sleep

i am 45 yrs old and have had electrical shocks in whole head/brain as i begin to fall asleep. My history 12yrs ago i did have a TBI from a car accident (traumatic brain injury - brusing of brain) but never had this happen to me i thought i recovered from the accident. What i am concerned is dying. I feel like im goin to die if i have to continue putting up with this. I can almost go to sleep as soon as i lay head down, this might be because i havnt had restful sleep in over 3 yrs. sleeping 3-4 hours max a night all i could do. now for nearly a year i am suffering from these shocks in my whole head and i noticed some of my limbs jump, arms legs, feet when this happens. I mean soon as i lay down too i could go right to sleep but soon as i begin to 'drift off' SHOCK and no way i sleep i pass out and after several shocks. I pray a LOT better believe that! sometimes that helps most of the time i suffer HELP! PLEASE i went to family doctor he just looked at me and said maybe its a chemical problem here take Prozac. gah i tried that for 2 weeks made me hyper as heck and didnt do a thing for this problem so stopped takin it and stopped goin to doctor please please help me

I agree with Lulu that to a layperson this does not sound like MS. You need to see a neurologist, not just a primary care doctor.

The best of luck to you.

Hi and welcome hre to the ms forum.  I really think you need to be seeing a neurologist and not just your family doctor.

Something is very wrong with what you are describing and you need a good neuro to help you figure it out.  this could be residual from your TBI or it could be something else going on.

I feel for you having the sleep deprivation going on. That is a horrible feeling to be exhausted and sick.

The things you are describving here don't ring true to me as being Ms, but i am no doctor.

Good luck in finding help - don't give up looking for answers.

feel better,
Lulu
