Christmas eve - Count on each other

Hello all,

This has already been quite the day for our members -

ShadowsSister (DJ) has just learned her daughter Cheri does NOT have cancer. Maybe no DJ can truly enjoy the Christmas celebrations.

MaryKay has just told us that her cancer appears to be confined to one lung and the surgeon says it is operable.  That is truly great news for this continually upbeat woman.

Unfortunately Wonko totalled her car doing the over the river and through the woods trip  but is physically ok.  So are all the other passengers of her car - significant other and her kitties.  The car is totalled but her holiday is not a wreck because it happened close to their destination in Ohio.  Here's to insurance and car payments and realizing its just metal and replaceable.

So that's three for three today - all in all good news. And I am so glad all these wonderful women thought to share the news with us.

I'm not sure what Doni is up today, but Shell, Quix and I all have holiday commitments with family so we will be absent from the forum until very late tonight probably.

You all do such a good job of taking care of each other, I know you will continue that habit today.

Be safe in whatever you do and Happy Christmas!

With joy in my heart,
Lulu/Laura

Hi Laura,

I know, sweety, about not knowing whether you're coming or going or already went..haha

I had a wonderful Christmas, but wonder when I might expect to recuperate from it!!  Would do it all again, anyway....heeheehee

We all do love you and are glad you found this forum family, you are so supportive and giving.

Why not laugh at ourselves, I'm sure everyone else does.....heeheehee

Doni, Shell and all others,

You all can pick on me anytime you want because I know you love me anyway!!  I feel it in every note you send my direction.

I heard from Wonko earlier today - she posted pictures of her dear recently departed Carla, the Monte Carlo.  She and her partner are ok but banged up.  I know she will welcome any condolences you wish to send her way ! LOL

Also I heard from Wish too this week - or did I already tell you that?  This has been such a crazy week I am not sure if I'm coming or going right now...

But I'm still laughing. What else can we do?

I was just picking on you, Lulu.  I can't count the times I forget things in the space of 5 mins.  That's what's so great about this forum, we all forget and just laugh about it!!

Thanks for taking up the slack while we weren't around, I agree with Kathy, you do a fantastic job!!!  Hope you had a wonderful Christmas!!!

Shell says it right, 2009 is going to be a great year for us all!!!

Hugs to all,

Hi All,

I've missed you!

I'm catching up on everyone and had a nice holiday.

A wish came true for me, and all the family was together, and all was well.

Sending my love to you all and will continue to pray, support, and wish for safety in our futures.

Bring on 09! Durrnit! Let it 'try' to break us!

I'm looking forward to the year ahead of us.

(((((BIG GROUP HUGS)))))))) to you all!

All the good you did and do far out-weighs any small mistakes you might make.  We're all human and prone to make mistakes.

You're definitely more prone to make people smile, laugh, say "oh, I understand" and stuff like that.  It was great to have you on the forum  the past two days as only a few of us trickled in.

Hugs,

Kathy

ooops!  Lulu did get the memo, she just didn't remember!  I was doing lots on the low fly the past two days and made a few mistakes but hopefully all is forgiven and forgotten.

Enjoy the day,

Hi all,

Sorry I've been off the forum, but I too had family obligations for C Eve and C Day.  I'm sorry Lulu didn't get the memo!!  hahaha

We all have much to be grateful for and one big one is this forum and all that we share with each.  We laugh, cry, support, make close friends, research to help each other find answers and most of all we care about each other.

You are the most wonderful group of people I have ever encounter and feel blessed every day to have found this forum and all of you.  I'm sure we will continue to grow our family in 2009, and make many more new friends.

God bless you, and may 2009 be a wonderful and blessed year for us all.

Love & hugs,

Mmm, I can almost smell that soup and fresh bread!  I wasn't hungry until I read your post!

What a wonderful gift for you.  I hope your chair is far enough away from where you're putting that giganenormous plasma T.V. Wow!  I'm glad you had such a wonderful time, and that your parents are snug and safe in your home until the roads are safe.

I was reading your sad story of only two little gifts and was going to tell you that I wrapped a small gift for you today, but now it sounds really tiny.  Oh well, I'll still get it to you one of these days.  Even your area is bound to thaw out one of these days!

Fluffy and I are having a quiet day, listening to music, visiting the forum, trying to find something interesting on T.V.  I ate several pieces of fudge a few hours ago, probably why I didn't feel hungry until I heard about your soup and bread.

I'm very glad that there is so much good news this holiday season, and grateful for the kindness showed to me after I recieved my sad news.  I'm doing well.

Hugs,

Kathy

HOW WONDERFUL THAT YOU HAD ALL YOUR CHILDREN HOME FOR CHRISTMAS; I'M VERY HAPPY FOR YOU.

THE ICE IS SO MUCH WORSE FOR DRIVING THAN SNOW, AND SNOW IS SO MUCH PRETTIER.  I'M DOWN THE RIVER AND ACROSS THE BRIDGE FROM QUIX, AND I DONT HAVE NEARLY AS MUCH SNOW, AND ONLY A SMALL AMOUNT OF  ICE.

I'M GLAD THAT YOUR DAUGHTER AND HER HUSBAND WEREN'T BADLY INJURED IN THEIR ACCIDENT, AND THEY WERE ABLE TO MAKE IT TO YOUR HOME AFTER ALL.

I HOPE YOU'RE TAKING PICTURES OR VIDEOS OF EVERYONE TOGETHER!

A LOT IS MELTING TODAY, WHICH IS GOOD FOR TRAVEL, BUT NOT AS PRETTY.  I LOOKED OUT A FEW HOURS AGO, AND IT WAS SNOWING AGAIN, VERY PRETTY.

A WHILE LATER, THE SUN BROKE THROUGH.  PACIFIC NORTHWEST WEATHER IS INTERESTING!

QUIX,

BLESS YOUR FAMILY FOR THE AMAZING GIFT , YOUR WELL DESERVING TO SAY THE LEAST.

THE AMOUNTS OF SNOW YOUR AREA HAS RECEIVED IS OVER WHELMING.

WE GET THE RAIN AND ICE,WE HAVE HAD MINIMAL SNOW HERE IN OHIO, THE KIDS A BIT DISAPPOINTED.

ENJOY THE FAMILY TIME.

MY GREATEST GIFT, MY DAUGHTER AND HER HUSBAND ( BOTH IN THE NAVY) WERE TO ARRIVE MONDAY,BUT I RECEIVED A CALL LAST THURSDAY,THEY WERE VISITING HER HUSBANDS FAMILY IN KANSAS WHEN THEY WERE BROAD SIDED.

THEY TOLD ME THEY WEREN'T GONNA MAKE IT HOME FOR CHRISTMAS,I HAD TO CANCEL THEIR WEDDING RECEPTION.

YESTERDAY AFTERNOON THEY WALKED IN,GOT THE CAR FIXED AND MILITARY RELEASED MEDICALLY.

I HAD ALL MY CHILDREN HOME FOR CHRISTMAS,THATS ALL I WANTED!!!!! NEXT YEAR THEY COULD BE ON A SHIP ,THEY HAVE 6 MONTHS OF  SCHOOLING LEFT.

MY SON HAS JOINED THE ARMY,HE COMPLETED  BASIC DURING HIS JUNIOR /SENIOR YEAR.HE COULD BE OVER SEA'S.

MY GIFT WAS A GLORIOUS ONE. IT COULD 3-4 YEARS BEFORE MY 4 CHILDREN ARE WITH ME AT CHRISTMAS AGAIN.

MY PRAYERS TO ALL AND MAY YOUR CHRISTMAS BE AS BLESSED AS MINE WAS.

I continue to pray for all that need it and to rejoice with those who are rejoicing,

I will be on and off here.  4 of our 7 hoped for guest were able to arrive.  But many of our gifts have been held up by trucks that cannot get into the area.  We had a glorious time yesterday and two were able to get back to Seattle easily.  However, my parents are now snowed in at our house.  They are in awe at our constant snowfall.  We have had about 4 inches just from this morning and on top of the foot we already had.  After the trukey feast yesterday we are having turkey soup today and homemade bread.

Nothing is plowed so we will not be able to drive them home until tomorrow at the soonest.

Gift alert.  We distributed the gifts and everyone had mounds and mounds of gifts but me.  I had only two and was feeling a bit forgotten.  Then my time came and they led me out to the garage.  They all chipped together and got me a 42" plasma TV!  It's gorgeous!

Love to you all.
