Doublevision1 asked me to report in to you about her NMO-IgG test. It took weeks and weeks for her to find out the test was negative. That's good news, of course, but it isn't conclusive. Had it been positive, it'd have been a slam dunk for Devic's disease. With a negative outcome, that can be wrong 30% of the time.
So there are other tests she's pursuing to find out whether her MS diagnosis was correct, or whether it's Devic's after all. One is a repeat LP. If there still are no bands, Devic's is more likely.
Db1 will be here, I hope later today, to go into more detail. I know there are others out there in the same boat, and she is such a good researcher that she'll have some sound information to share, as usual.
