Hi. I have recently been diagnosed with MS and have TERRIBLE hot flashes! I am 50 and it could be menopause. However, comparing notes with friends and family, my flashes are much worse than what they discribe. My poor boyfriend, trying to help, turns the air conditioning on, it doesn't help; standing in a blizzard wouldn't help.I start Avonex this week, maybe it will help!
Thank you very much!! I'll do it, hug
be sure to talk to your doctor about these hot moments and see if there is something that can be done to regulate your thermostat.
Thank you Paula,
both hotflashes and heat intolerance made me crazy.
fortunately it doesn't occur all the time.
Best wishes,
Tessie
Thanks a lot Lulu, I'm so confused among menopause, thyroid disorder and all this symptoms I've learnt just days before are MS'...
hotflashes as us women know them are probably not related to our MS. I can't answer about the hyperthyroidism.
I don't know much about thyroidism but I can say that it is more than likely not related to MS!
Good luck,
Paula
