new neurologist maybe i don't belong here

1st sorry for any errors. Hard to post from phone.

Finally got to see the new neurologist. She looked at all my MRI's and did a limited exam. After having me walk up the hall and back she took my cane. Two falling over steps and she was giving it back. Ha! I don't think she will have me stand with my feet together and close my eyes again either.

She wants a bunch of blood work. B12 lupus and all that. She wants my records from old neuro. Hate that. Oh well. She wants LP and EMG of both legs and both arms. She is thinking peripheral neuropathy and gave me a print out. She says could be DDD in neck and lower back. But MRI shows only mild daddy and not pressing on spinal cord. I had MRI of lower back back when my right leg stopped working and it didn't show anything.

Anyway, she sent what blood work she wants to NP at clinic. I see them on the 25th. She is sending for EMG record of right leg from 2006. Sending paperwork to project access for LP EMG and PT for balance and leg/arm weakness. That all depends on volunteer design to agree to do that. So will see.

For giving her time she seems willing to look for what is going on. Instead of old neuro who would say " that's normal for people with MS but I can't diagnosis you" grateful for a chance maybe. I can't work as it is now and no income.

I don't know what to do other go live under a bridge ha. I'd say my truck but it's not running and can't get tag renewed. Trusting things work out as they are supposed to.

I might not belong here but thanks for letting me share. Y'all. Are great listeners.

Raz

Hey Raz, thanks for letting us know. I was wondering what the neuro that you were able to get in to see had to say to you. Thankfully, you got in to see her.  Well, whatever it is, hopefully, she'll figure it all out.  It sounds like she's being very thorough.

Good luck with everything. I hope you have some more definitive answers soon. And, BTW, sure you belong here. We'd miss you if you weren't here. :-)

Thanks for sharing and keeping us updated.  A lot of us do more reading these days than posting so just b/c you don't get a lot of replies doesn't mean we aren't reading your story and pulling for you.

Hang in there sounds like you found a neuro who is listening to you.

Thanks Lu! Gave me a smile with Quix's mob rules. Miss her. I read posts here off and on every day. Don't post so much lately but I still feel connected here.

what are you talking about?  Of course you belong here.  Everyone with questions and doubts belongs.  And even people with a dx other than MS is welcome here - remember Quix's mob rules?  Getting in is easy, leaving us is much tougher.

I sure hope this doc  gets you the answers you can live with.

hugs,
L
