night sweats

Hi,

I've now been on copaxone for about 7 months and have been experiencing night sweats. Does anyone else have this and if so, do you think it's the MS or the medication? The last time I had this was 5 years ago when my hormones were going nuts because I was pregnant. I'm thinking it's too early to be experiencing signs of menopause. Could it be a copaxone side effect?

I've read that they can be associated with other neurological conditions- but I haven't seen it connected to MS.

Funny, PD - you are right that you have none of these possibilities.

Jah - you don't list your age, but it is quite possible to be peri-menopausal at an earlier age. I honestly don't remember anyone mentioning night sweats being caused by Copaxone  - but my memory might be wrong. IF these continue, I would definitely see your primary care doctor or neurologist and have it checked.

I have night sweats, but am none of the above with regard to possible explanations.

UnDx, so if it's MS (which I really suspect), nobody can be sure.

UnDx, so no DMD.

Confident I am not with child.

Menopause?  I really never read enough on the reputed version my gender might suffer, so I really can't even help there.

In fact, I'm starting to wonder why I am answering you.

Could be my varied and sundry other meds, singularly or in concert, I suppose.
