Syptoms not going away

I have been diagnosed just over a year and my difficulties with my legs still remain the same even thou I am on treatments, copaxone, gabapentin, tizanadine.  I am finding it hard to cope with it, as many others with MS say they have periods of time without any difficulties.

Hi Lynne.  I'll add my welcome to the mix here.  I believe Ampyra was turned down for approval with the NHS in the UK.

Have you had the chance to talk to your consultant about the continued problems with your legs?  I would do that and see what else they can offer for relief.

best, Lulu

Welcome Lynne,

Thanks for joining us. I have heard Ampyra has helped MSers with walking-  is that something available to you in the UK?

And, what are you experiencing with your legs? Weakness? Stiffness?

With a bit more info, we can share more tips that have helped us - and with the coping too.

See you around!

There are also a fair share of folks that have pretty continuous problems with sensory issues and spasticity in the lower extremities. The drugs you mentioned ease the symptoms, but you have to wait to see if the if the brain will heal the damage.

Everyone's MS seems to be a bit different so comparing my MS to your MS is a very different thing.  I have had spasticity an pain in my legs for the last  6 months or so.
