so very tired

Hi everyone, just wondering if you all have felt like this.    I am just so very tired, and exhausted, and the steroids didn't seem to help.  I'm wondering if I just pushed through the exhaustion, would I shoot myself in the foot, or am I becoming lazy, and complaceant.

Sometimes, I think that the lazy is me, but when I feel well, I do so much, and now I don't really feel like I can do much, I have NO energy, and no will to do much either.  I just am to tired to do anything.

I got through my colonoscopy, and gastroscopy, and had 2 polyps removed alnd 7 biopsies, and now we wait, and tomorrow we go for an internal ultrasound, and that should be the end of the tests for awhile.

I don't know if I am just tired out because of those, or what, but I just don't feel well, and I'm so tired of saying that I'm not feeling well.......................  I have to think of a new phrase, so I don't drive my hubby nuts.

Please share it you all have felt like this too,ok???

thanks, ( as I'm going to sleep now) ...
*HUGS* to all,
Candy

You guys are just the greatest. !!!!  Thanks for all your love and prayers and concerns.  I love some of the comments about what to tell people....LOL
My hubby also says for betteror worse and is handling, I might add, way better than I do.
The feeling guilty thing is awful too huh, when other people are doing what we did or think we are supposed to do.  This is just so very unfair.

I am thinking of increasing my depression meds as I think that maybe that might be something in the comment about my depression.  I have it, and have had it for years, and now maybe I just have to accept it, and not fight it too, I just don't have the energy anymrore...

Hope you all have the sunshine down on your face, and feel loved......

*HUG*S to all,
Candy

Hi Candy,

You are NOT alone! It is NOT being lazy! I know the fatigue all too well. If I get too tired from over doing things it often triggers a migraine, so I don't do too much. My muscles tell me when to slow down and take a rest as well.

Sorry to hear about the steroids. The last two rounds I had did not help and the last one messed up my meds so much that it caused a heart rate of 44 and palpitations, so no more steroids for me.

You are undergoing so much right now. Give your body and mind a rest and do NOT feel guilty. You have had so much activity the past few months, new grand-babies and doctors appt. and testing. Anyone would be run down and tired from all of this activity.

Rest and I hope you feel better soon,
Ren

I know how awful that is.  Talk to a dr about meds.  I used to experience that but now I take provigil and it has been miraculous for me.  Good luck

With all that you are going through, don't overlook the fact that you could be somewhat depressed as well.  Who wouldn't after all?

Go easy on yourself girl, you have a lot on your plate.

Yes, yes, and more yes on being tired. Tired is not a good word to describe it really - more like wiped out.  Back in March I even came to the point where I thought that I wouldn't be able to work anymore. Definitely a very scary prospect.

Plus, it sounds like you have a lot going on - emotional stress can add to your fatigue.
Maybe you can get a prescription to help with your fatigue from your doctor - or have you already tried meds for it?

I hope you feel better soon.

Your are so not alone in the being tired! I'm sorry to hear the steroids didn't work :( Fatigue is my biggest issue to deal with. Since I am in limbo my Dr. is trying Effexor to help with the depression I'm getting from being so "sick & tired" for so long and also hopefully help with my fatigue issue. Which it has slightly but I did just start taking it.

I get tired of complaining but I keep doing it to my poor hubby. He tries his best to make me feel better and never complains about what I can or can't do, he just deals with it which just makes me worse because then I feel guilty and afraid he's going to leave and it goes on and on lol He laughs and says "I said for better or worse and I meant it" We're just going through the worse. I sure hope so.

Your not lazy!!!! I really dislike that word because people have called me lazy and they have NO idea why I'm so tired and it really urks me. Lazy is a fighting word with me. To bad I'm to tired to fight lol Also, I like to tell hubby my motivation/ambition ran away again today :)

Hopefully once you get your results back this stress will pass and that will hopefully help you. Hang in there. and wishing you better days to come real soon!

Sweetie, you aren't alone, I think just about everyone here can relate to the feelings you are describing of being tired and out of sorts.

Right now I am being forced to take prednisone(which I Hate), it keeps me moving when I need to rest. MS causes muscle fatigue. I am sure you aren't hearing anything new.

Please don't think you are being lazy, I am sure you aren't. It sounds like you are going through a lot. I hope your test come back clean. Waiting can be so stressful.

Stress is the worse thing for us and others too, but with MS, it is a real problem. Be kind to yourself, and get as much rest as possible. YOU AREN'T BEING LAZY !!

I'll keep you in my thoughts and Prayers..{{{{~!~}}}} (This is how I send out my hugs) DJ

Hi Candy... I can so relate with you as I'm sure many of us can... One of my favorite phrases is "I'm tired of being tired"...lol... I used to think that not working anymore that I was becoming complacent and lazy but that's really not the case...

Like you, when I feel half way decent I do try and get things done... I've learned over the years not to over do it and to always catch a little power nap and it seems to help... Besides of some bad pain days I would say the fatigue is the worst symptom I have...

Hang in there and just because your suffering from fatigue don't ever think your lazy... There is a big difference between the two... Keep me posted on how your doing...

I'll be praying,
Carol
