Lord the British reserve I've seen has been in movies like Notting Hill, A Fish Called Wanda, Danny Deckchair, Four Weddings and a Funeral, and others i can't name now; not exactly your famed reserve and properness.  Oh, not to mention my favorite, Saving Grace.  Loved it!
