well i survived the lp. my neuro tried to do it in his office but was unsuccesful.so then went to have it done by xray with a tech.finally done after three hours had a slight headache aftre but nothing major so i am crossing my fingers that this shows something diagnostic.the only reason i feel it was done now and not six months into the future is because i now have optic atrophy, cerebellar sgns, and the pupil afferant defect did not have the pupil afferant defect before.

Hi Mary... it's over...that's a big thing, now you should rest and take it easy for a few days.  It does take awhile for the results and let us know as soon as you do.. OK

Good for you getting the LP out of the way.  I hope that you will find answers, just remember that the test for O-bands takes a while to get back becuase it has to be sent out.

thanks ladies for the kind words yes i am kind of wondering my gp may have the results quicker as the ms clinic could not do a follow up until sept. 27.

Good for your neuro to know it was not going right and sending you on to someone else - often we hear they try and try and try.  

Now you wait and wait  and wait.  Here's hoping it yields some answers.

Well done for getting through your LP and I am glad that you did not suffer the side effects that others sometimes mention. I hope that you do not have to wait too long to get the results and that they provide the diagnostic answers you are waiting for. Good luck and hold onto your courage.
