Help with my MRI

Hi  I  am going to see  my doctor on april 30th...  I was wondering if anyone can tell me what they think  about my mri results.  I have buzzing, numbness, face pinching, foot pain, ringing in my ears.. headache ect....

SEVERAL NONSPECIFIC T2 AND FLAIR BILATERAL CEREBRAL WHITE MATTER HYPERINTENSITIES ARE NOTED WITH THE ADDITION OF AN INFERIOR MARGIN CORPUS CALLOSAL LESION NEAR THE GENU. WHILE THESE FINDINGS ARE NONSPECIFIC AND MAY BE SEEN IN DEMYELINATING DISORDERS,CLINICAL CORRELATION IS ADVISED.

Thank you so much for any help you can give me.. I went to one doctor who really kind of just dismissed me...went back to my GP who said I need to see a ms specialist..who I will be seeing on the 30th.

Im glad I found this site!  :)                             Linda~

Welcome Linda.  We're glad you found this community, too!  Your GP is a wise doctor to refer you on to an MS specialist.  The MRI you copied here sounds very suspect.

The *clinical correlation* means you should be thoroughly examed to see what neurological deficits you also have, to go with the MRI evidence..

I don't know how much you have studies so far, but you should know there are a lot of MS Mimics out there that can also produce suspect MRI's and similar symptoms.  A good MS specialist will test you for all of these.

The MS diagnosis really is one of elimination - they test for everything else and see what's left at the end of the day.  Hence, this process can be slow unless you have classic symptoms.

While you are waiting I hope you will take some time to learn more about MS - we have great health pages here packed full of information.  You can access them through the yellow icon on the upper right side of this page.

We're availalble to help you with questions or just listen to you - so please do come back again.

my best, Lulu
