First of all, keep in mind that I am unable to diagnose you because I am unable to examine you, this forum is for educational purposes.
The symptoms you describe suggests a compression of the ulnar nerve at or above the wrist. This is similar to carpal tunnel (carpal tunnel usually affects the median nerve and the middle fingers). I would suggest that you get an EMG with nerve conduction study to evaluate for an ulnar nerve lesion. Compressing the ulnar nerve at the elbow is also a frequent cause of the symptoms that you describe. The EMG protion of the the test will inform you of the severity of the lesion and allow your doctors to know if surgery or other action is needed.
I hope this has been helpful.
i would see a hand specialist, who will examine you, explain the innervation of the hand, and most likely refer you for nerve conduction studies and other tests to determine if there is nerve compression. It could be carpal tunnel or ulnar nerve (funny bone) impingement. again, see a hand specialist, not just a family doctor.
