Weight problems

by completlystarved, Feb 04, 2007 12:00AM
I am a 32 y/o m. I am 5'6". I weigh 300 lbs. I am morbidly obese. I have tried several diets, and successfully lose weight, but always gain it back because I stay hunger 24/7. I have tried just about every diet imaginable. I have had the most success with the low carb protein diet. I know this isn't a great diet for my kidneys, but nothing else works as good. I have high blood pressure and exercies induced asthma. I get started at the gym and my breathing starts to kill me and finally I quit. Why am I so hungry and what can I do to lose the weight and keep it off? I have lost as much as 70 lbs. before, but always seem to gain it back because of not being able to exercise. Any tips or ideas for me?

Cutting calories would be a good place to start.  What does your regular diet consist of?  If you eat a lot of processed carbs, a good start would be to eliminate them.  Cut out white breads (this is usually hard for most people, including myself).  Eliminating soda, high calorie drinks in general with lots of sugar would greatly reduce your daily calorie intake.  Chips, cookies, ice cream, junk food in general, avoid buying ANY (even 1) of this at the supermarket.  Try buying organic foods from whole foods stores.  You would be suprised how much weight you lose, simply by eating healthier foods that eliminate processed carbs and preservatives.  Saying all of this is easy, doing it is difficult.

Since you are a woman, I would look into the various health programs out there (ie. weight watchers, jenny craig, curves, ect.).  Many health care providers will cover the costs of health programs that benefit cutting health (lack of health) costs.  Good luck to you.

here's another advice...

dont gourge when ur eating,. doing so makes u eat more and more... properly masticate foods.. its where first proper nutrition start.. slowly masticate every food so that every bit won't be a waste.. it takes time indeed but, you will be amazed of how less u had eaten from that meal..

exercise.. you need to burn those unwanted fats u have...
staying healthy and fit isnt just about eating a poor diet.. u can eat nice foods, but not too much...

eat few every night since ur maintenance level is low.. u dont need much calories at nigth since ur going to sleep anyway... a lot of people eat more every night making them sleep late...

sleeping is a lot of thing too... u need to properly rest so that ur body may have enough strenght to deal with ur daily day...

and plan..
make a log.. log on ur present weight.. ur measurement... so that u may have a goal and a purpose in doing such endeavor.. it is indeed a nice thing to do... properly plan... make realistic goals... 1 pound at a time.. or more..

god bless...
(",) hardcore back..

I would recommend eating 6 small home cooked meals, like the others nothing processed. Read all labels. If you have ashma I recommend that you completly cut out dairy for a month and slowly bring back and see if that is your problem. Milk can cause mucus build up. Again read labels milk is in everything. Also start real slow with the work outs. start a slow walk then slowly move faster then get to the gym. But with the food you need to figure out how many calories you need in a day so google BMR and then TDEE these this will help you find the info. I wish you the best and I hope this has helped :)
