Got Good News!

Just wanted to thank those of you who left encouraging notes for me!  I got good news, so I can breathe again for the next few months.  My CA 125 is down to 36!  So, that's all but remission!  It hasn't been that low in about 20 months, so I am happy to see that number!  My scans were stable, so the lymph node they are watching has not gotten any larger.  I also saw the pain management folks today.  They look at the holistic approach to managing side effects.  The nurse pratictioner I saw suggested stress relief.  She recommended a book and a meditation CD set which I picked up at Barnes & Noble on the way back to Shawn's.  She also wants me to try acupuncture for the bone pain.  She said I'd be surprised at what it can do for pain.  So, I figure I will try it, and see what it does.  If it doesn't help, I can always stop.  She doesn't recommend any kind of supplements because of how they might interfere with the prescription medication I take.

Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks to those who were thinking about me today!

Love,
Gail

Great news!  I wholeheartedly agree about the accupuncture.  You need to find that place of peace in your head and body, meditation and accupuncture can really help with the pain.

Aha! I'm so glad my wish came true (good news only). That warms my heart and that's about the only thing warm on me right now. We've got stormy weather with temps in the 20's and lower. Brrr. I'm thrilled that you are thrilled. It's contagious. :-)
