Bloating

Has anyone out there experienced bloating with a cysts other than the abdomen?  I have a 2 cm complex cyst and 2 simple cysts on my right ovary and over the past several months have felt more bloated, but generally all over.

Any input would be appreciated!

This is a very interesting question.  For about a year before I knew I had cysts I suffered from swelling in my feet, ankles, hands and arms.  My doctor couldn't figure out why.  As my cyst got larger (grapefruit sized at surgery) my abdomen was severely bloated.  I am happy to say that the bloating I had in my other areas disappeared within a month of my cyst surgery.  I'd never put the two together but it very much could be related.

I too suffered with swollen ankles , wrists and fingers and then the last 2 months before my surgery my stomach was huge.
I am now on day 19 post surgery and stillbloated  but hoping it will go down soon.

Yes, I have read many posts where women were bloated due to their cysts. Are you getting your cysts taken care of or are they watching them to see if they go away? Good luck!

Thank you, I thought it was all in my head.  I realize my complex cyst is small but I am having increased pain as time passes.  We have been watching it for the last four months.  My doc wants to put me on progesterone or do laproscopic surgery.  I have an appointmnet on November 26 and I think I will opt for the laproscopic surgery.  There is a really big part of me that just wants a definitive answer as to what is going on inside of me.  It's tough to walk around everyday wondering what is really happening inside your body.

Thanks again to all of you!

Personally, after everything I have gone through and I was put on progesterone. I would opt for the laparoscopic surgery. At least you will get answers. I did horrible on progesterone - made me extremely depressed. I would never take it again.  Let us know after your appointment on the 26th!

I also recomend the surgery as I feel so much better since having it done and I am hoping that as soon as I am fully recovered I will be back to my old energectic self.  I seem to have gone down hill so much in the last year.

I felt like I had an alien inside me that was invading my private space and I wanted it out.

Thanks for your support.  I am a 40 year old single mom and the wait and see approach just isn't putting me at ease.

Thanks again for your support, I'll let you know how it goes.

Take care to all!

Yes. I not only blew up in my belly but my ankles and hands were very puffy to. As soon as the cysts disolved or I got my period all the bloating would subside. I hope this helps alittle and I hope you feel better soon!!!!
