Cyst Removal A Month go and still in Severe Pain

I am a 37 Year old Woman with 4 children.  I have a history of Gynecological Problems. With a total of 7 surgeries at this young age (depressing)!  I have 3 C-Sections done for the babies, A Bi-Lateral Hysterectomy (removal of the Uterus and Cervix only-2008. I've had 3 Laparoscopic Surgeries 1st one for (Endometriosis-2001), (Ovarian Cyst Removal of left ovary-2005)  (3-Cysts removal One in the left Ovary AGAIN and 2- Inside the left Fallopian Tube the size of a Grapefruit so part of that Fallopian Tube was Removed also)-4-23-09!  I usually Recover pretty well due to the fact that i take care of myself!  But this last surgery was different. It has been a Month already and i suffer from Severe Cramps. I dont have periods anymore since my Hysterectomy last year and i am cramping 24-7! I live on Percocets pain Killers, it is the only thing that takes the pain away i cant function in the day if i dont take pain meds! Before this last surgery i did not even suffer from any symptoms, i was suprised when they told me i had to have surgery for the 3 Cysts they found. I am worse after surgery this was not suppose to happen! I had a Ultrasound done 2 weeks ago and they thought i might have fluid collected/infection in my Abdomen. I took Augmentin 875mg Antibiotic. Did'nt help i am still in severe pain! My doctor tells me know to repeat the Ultrasound again, and if i still suffer from severe pain i might have to have my Ovaries and Fallopian Tubes removed!  Another surgery so soon scares me! Will this help!  Please Help!  Do i keep my Ovaries to conserve my Hormones? Or do i let time pass by and see if i get better? Im just scared i might develop something worse, like something untreatable. Even though in my family history we are all pretty healthy people.  I need some answers please! Lisa

Hello. thanks for your response. I really appreciate it. Well, today in the afternoon i will be having a Pelvic Ultrasound, ordered by my Gyno. I keep on suffering from severe Cramps, it just seems like it is getting worse, I am really concerned now! Hopefully the Ultrasound will give me an answer to my problem. Will keep you updated as soon as i have an answer. Lisa

I'm so sorry you are still suffering.  You are correct that this is not a normal response to this kind of surgery.  You should be feeling immensely better by now.  Unfortunately I can't say if another surgery will help.  If it were me I would have had the ovaries out considering your history of cysts and so many surgeries but this is a very personal decision.  I do hope that there is nothing serious going on in there.  Please do keep us updated.  Good luck.
