hi, i am not a faker. This is true otherwise i wouldn't be here. My mom had 6 operations already. She had removed her womb and now her left ovary have the cyst, since she is 49 years of age, and weak, the doctor don't want to operate on her since her body might be to weak to withstand the operation. She did a blood test and after 2 weeks we will get the results so i would let you all know the results. The cyst is 6.5cm by 4.5cm.
I didn't mean to hit post. I am falling asleep. I am sorry if I sounded harsh with you. Frankly your "accent" and the way you say things sounds just like a faker we had on here at the beginning of the year and it left a few of us touchy.
If this Dr isn't comfortable doing the surgery than maybe he isn't a very good Dr and if you have a choice you should seek another on for your mom.
Good luck to you and your mom.

Over 90% of cysts are benign. How big is big? Some women on here say they have a big cyst and it is only 3 or 4 cm. Also, it would make a difference if your mother has gone through menopause or not. Most Drs go by the rule that if you are premenapausal a cyst up to 8cm should be watched, but with post menapausal women they get concerned if the cyst is 4 or 5 cm. What country do you live in and what are the medical facilities like? In this country there would be nothing risky about her having that surgery unless she had some very unuaual complications with other surgeries. Has she had a CT scan or a transvaginal ultrasound? Usually they can tell from those. While it is true that they can't know the degree to which you have cancer, they almost always know going in whether it is cancer or not. My onc told me just from my tests that he would be very surprised if I didn't have cancer and late stage to boot. He was right. I have 3 C. He was so sure he had me have my port surgery before my TAH BSO surgery.
Hi, i am 19 years of age and my mom is 49 years of age. We do not live in the USA.
Avi, please tell your mom to get more details from her doctor. Cysts are not cancerous most of the time and they wouldn't know for sure until they remove it. Perhaps you can tell her to do some research on her type of cyst and she can explain it to you if she chooses. The size of the cyst does not imply that it is cancerous.
