New Cyst of many

Hi All! I'm new to this and hoping I can get some advise. I'm 33 been on the pill for 6 years. In March I had a spell of breakthrough bleeding so they did blood work and an Ultrasound. They found a 2.3cm cyst. They told me not to worry it would go away.

In May the cyst ruptured and I was in serious pain, again came the breakthrough bleeding during while still taking my pill. They did another Ultrasound and same the cyst was now what they consider a "follicle" only 1cm, well that's obvious it's ruptured!

This month no breakthrough bleeding during my pill cycle but again severe pain. I went to the ER hoping maybe kidney stones. The urine test came back negative. I went back in for an Ultrasound to find out another cyst this time it's 3.1cm.

My OB/GYN doesn't seem to find all these issues to be a big deal. I'm in major pain and the cysts keep coming back along with the fun of breakthrough bleeding while taking my birth control pills.

I read they should be even more concerned because the pill is supposed to prevent cysts and I seem to just keep getting them.

She told me now to worry about this cyst it will go away on it's own, but I am worried because the issues have been happening since March!

Is it time for a second opinion?

Well now the cyst is down to 1.5cm's again so the concern is gone. Next ultra sound is July 9th since that's when I'll be on my cycle. That's when they always come back.

I'm on a new pill with higher hormone levels they are hoping this helps. If there is a new cysts they are going to make me take my pill full time and skip my periods all together which I don't like at all, that's not natural.

Then we'll do another ultrasound in August same time frame to check it out.

I'm getting a bit annoyed with the pain the ultrasounds, the waiting for phone calls back, the lack of everything at this point.
If they cysts don't go away my next option is to have the ovary removed, they just keep coming back.

Well they never get a chance to remove it it just fades away, then comes back again the next month right at the same time, just larger each time.

They can't figure it out, I can't figure it out, no one knows! That's what's so annoying!

Maybe the BC is too low of a hormone dosage to prevent cysts?  There are so many different types of BC prescriptions now.

The pain is due to the cyst pushing on your other organs.  Are you getting bloating, diarrhea or constipation, back or sciatical like pain and increased gas in addition to the abdominal pain?  That is all from the cyst.  I get so mad when a doctor does not understand when you add something 10 cm into your abdomen that it causes pain!  If it hasn't changed I would insist they do something.

They are just regular cysts. I did go to the Dr on Monday. She said the pain is probably because it's rupturing slowly and that is probably causing my on going pain. It's been almost 2 weeks now :( I got back for my 4th ultra sound on Monday to see the size.

It's it's gone down then we will continue pain meds and wait another 8 weeks and do another ultrasound to see the size. If it's the same or the size has gone up then I have to have surgery.

What scares me is I'm in birth control. I shouldn't have these cysts at all! Everything I've read says they should be monitoring me a lot more than they are.

Guess we'll see what happens next monday.

I'm trying to find the best of the best Ob/Gyn right now in the Denver Area before I go for a second opinion. I'm tired of switching around and around. I just want answers and results!

Do you know what kind of cysts these are?  I would get copies of all your tests and definitely a 2nd opinion.
