Just come out of surgery 3 hours ago :-)

Hi
I had my laposcopy dine today, as promised here is the low down:-

I "HAD" a 20-17-13 cyst which was thought to be on right ovary! But when they got in they found it was actually on the left side!

Operation took approximately 4 hours :-/ but this was because sadly they had to remove my left ovary & left fallopian tube along with the huge cyst.

I was adamant that I was NOT using a commode or a bed pan so first wee went to bathroom via wheelchair & 2 wee I walked with lots of support!
Considering I hadn't had a drink since early hours this morning I think I pee'd for England ;-)

I'm still on oxygen mask and fluids drip so will be going home tomoro mowning rather then tonight :-(

The pain is more of a burning/stinging sensation in my stomach so as yet not too bad ( but they have been giving me morphine for pain )
I still have a slight fever but they are keeping it under control!

I have managed to eat a sandwich and drink some water but feel nauseas but not actually being sick

I would appreciate any advice on what to expect after having one ovary, one fallopian & cyst removed thank u to those who have been forthcoming with advice so far, much luv & respect coming ur way xx

I believe that is a sign of the infection. Will be nice when that goes away for sure

Haha yeah, The last thing you want is a yeast infection on top of everything else!! And with such high dosage you're taking over a day, might not be a bad idea to p to yogurt intake during this time. lol

Wow. That ***** it was soaked! Yuk. Will be nice once this infection goes away soon!

Hmmmm I think I was about 2 weeks for it to go down, but even still now i have flare ups of my tummy swelling, just doesnt stay constant, and isnt as irritating all the time. LOL The "full" feeling if you have that too, will be about the same time or shortly after the swelling goes down

Jolee That is fantastic! I really hope it stays that way too. Will be nice for the "side effects" of the cyst to go away too, hopefully it will soon.

K, I'm sorry to hear about the infection :( Hopefully youve caught it early enough and you can get rid of it ASAP with antibiotics. Depending on how your body reacts to antibiotics, you might want to try to increase your intake of yogurt if possible, or take some acidophilus capsules to prevent any possible yeast infection, as that is the last thing you want to deal with on top of everything else!

Hi everyone, thank u for ur replies again, sadly today I had my 2nd trip out of the house it was back to doctors! My belly button incision has become infected :-( so antibiotics are now joining the pain killers, I will rattle if someone shook me thru all the meds that I'm taking :-/

Jolee that's fantastic! I'm so happy for u, just make sure u keep it that way ;-) hopefully the bloating and nausea will subside soon,

Take care everyone
