Ovarian Cyst

Hi.
I wonder if anyone can help me? I have been suffering for some time with pain on my left side with heavy periods. I also have lower back pain and need to pee like as if I were pregnant? I have had an ultrasound which showed a cyst 5cm x 5.5cm. I have had a CA 125 but is negative am now waiting for another ultrasound to see if the cyst has grown (which I can feel that it has).  My concern is that since my appt with my gyn last monday my breasts are really tender and my armpits hurt??  Can anyone tell me if this is normal with a cyst?  Or should I push to be seen sooner for an ultrasound?

Many thanks -x-

Hi,
I am 36 years old, and I had a transvaginal ultrasound on 8th August 2008, am waiting for my appointment for the next ultrasound.  I am just concerned that my symtoms seem to be worsening?
Thanks for the advice to look on the health page hopefully the information there may put my mind at rest.
Many thanks, Claire

I had the same symptoms when I had my cysts so you are going down the right path.  Over 95% are benign so just concentrate on keeping the process moving forward and talk to us ladies here.  Good luck!

Hi, I'm not sure what your age might be, but if you are premenopausal , cysts are really very common in your age groups. When did you have the first ultrasound? and was it an abdominal one or transvaginal one?

Ovarian cysts cause a number of symptoms.. There is a lot of information on the "Health Pages" at the top right of this page. It discusses cysts and their symptoms. When is your next ultrasound.. I hope it is a transvaginal ultrasound. Let us know how it goes.
