ovary cystic mass with fluid in the adnexal

I am 21 years old and have not been sexually active for over a year. Recently I have gone to the dr. because I have not had a period in 4 months. Through ultrasounds I have been told that I have a right overy cystic mass with fluid on the adnexal. My dr. also said that it sounds as if part of the mass has ruptured. Two days ago i began to bleed. How do I know if it would be the other half of the mass rupturing. Does anybody know what any of this means?

I am 38 , male, I had recently a MRI for my dorsal and accidently a cystic mass involving the adrena gland was identified. it could be a simple adenoma or a cancerous tumor. what tests need to be done in order to see the nature of the cyst?

I'm not sure.  You might want to to go ER and see if you can get another U/s.

i am usually in contact with my dr. quite a bit. tonight i was a little concerned. my pulse rate went to 111. it is normally 60 for me. it makes me wonder if maybe the mass had ruptured the other day and its now going through my system, is this possible

I am 23 and have a complicated cyst. I had to call 4 times in a week to get my doctor to call me back. It is tough but just keep calling and keep trying to get the care that you deserve!

i am 21. the doctor isn't helping me out too much anymore, because when i am diagnosed with something when i ask what it is she ignores the question. its just frustrating, i have been dealing with this at this dr.'s office for about a month and i was going to another dr before and she pretty much told me it was all in my head. but the ultrasounds proved that something was there.

You do not give up.  This is your body and your life.  You have to take control of your healthcare and ensure the doctors are thorough and rule out any other issues.  Call him and get in for another appointment.  I don't know your age but this could affect your fertility as well.

It is normal for menstruating women to get cysts as they ovulate but they generally resolve themselves.  Sometimes they don't and they grow larger.  Doctors will often monitor the cyst to see if it resolves itself (depending on the type) and then make a decision on whether to remove via laparoscope.  I suggest that you go for another ultrasound to determine what is going on and to make sure no infection occurs from the rupture. Good luck with everything.
