Still having same pain after removal of cyst

I had my cyst removed with my ovary back in the middle of November. The last couple of days I have been having the same type of pain that I had before the surgery. I also had some scar tissue removed from the area at the same time. I know that there is no way I could have a cyst since my ovary was removed. I was wondering if anybody else had any pains like that after having their ovary removed. If the pain keeps up and keeps getting worse I think I will be getting in touch with my doctor. Just wanted to see if anybody else had any pains like this first.

The body takes quite a few months to fully heal after surgery and maybe the pain is just that; from the surgery. But you never know so you should go get checked if you're worried. Better safe than sorry. Good luck; I hope everything turns out fine.

You should get in touch with your Dr now.  Please don't make the mistake of thinking that because your ovary was removed that you can't get a cyst in that area.  A woman I take chemo with had everything removed 30 yrs ago, but she has ovarian cancer because they left a little teeny tiny piece of tissue and that is where the cancer grew.  It is highly unlikely that you have another cyst as this condition is pretty rare, and there are a million other explanations, but pain is a warning that something isn't right and you should not wait until you are in screaming pain to call your Dr.  It may very well be that new scar tissue has formed and you are just stretching it out, but I don't know that and neither do you.  Make your Dr find out what is wrong.
Good luck,
Jan
