What to expect after my D&C and abalation?

I don't know what to expect after my D&C and endometrial ablation. Anyone know? I'm not sure when. They will call tomorrow or Mon. with the dates for me. I'm just curious as to what to expect. I know that a lot of it depends on exactly what all they do, but I have no idea what to expect.

Well when I had the D&C's I had just had a miscarriage.  During that procedure they inserted a camera through my stomach .... under the belly button. and they entered vaginaly with a a tube like tool tha ***** out the cists and perhaps based on the other procedure that you will need done they'll insert anothe tool that will help melt away the lining and once again go in with the little vacuum  tube to remove any excess left behind.  You will be a little sore but you should be able to be up before the week.  Just don't lift anything heavy or make any drastic movements for a couple of weeks.  This will allow your body to heal as it should.

God Bless!

This all came about after an ultrasound for pain and heavy bleeding showed cysts on both overies, endometriosis, and a fibroid. An ablation is where they destroy the lining of your uterus (to the best of my understanding). It is an alternative to a hysterectomy when childbearing is not a concern. They either freeze it or burn it to keep the endo from returning.

What is an endometrial ablation?  I have had two d& cs back to back so i can help you with that but tell me about that other procedure.... I'll be stepping out for a little bit but I will return with your answer. The second question is and I'm sorry to have to ask is why are you having a D& C?
