Thank you girls for all the information on this forum .It made facing surgery a bit easier.
I was so anxious ! I had surgery Nov 9 . Open abdominal removal of left ovary ,mass and tube . Initial pathology was benign . Surgery was 2pm was back in my own room by 4:45pm. By 6 am the next morning they took out the catheter and IV . Was up and using restroom and walking halls within an hour .Was able to go home that evening .
Gas pains are the only real pain I am feeling ,trying all the suggestions given here to get relief ! Other wise I feel pretty good . Definitely needed my husbands help the last couple of days ,could not have been home alone !
It helps to know what to expect ahead of time . In my case I have no vaginal bleeding ,but nurse says some women do ...just beware if it is heavier than a normal period report it to your doctor .
