Monday Morning Roundup

I'm stealing this idea that I've seen on some of the other forums (thanks Chitchat!).  The members of our forum are increasing dramatically and it would be good to keep track of what everyone is up to each week.  Post any additional information and dates below.

Well.. Good news. I went to a new GYN today and she was excellent. (Dr. Jan Goss, if anyone's looking for a good doc in Dallas).  She really listened to me and not only did she agree that something is not right, but she drew blood for tests and sent me for an vaginal ultrasound. (They don't do them at her office). I did the US and should have results back tomorrow or friday. What a relief! I don't know the outcome and I am nervous about that, but it was amazing to feel heard!
Thanks for the support and great advice! I'll let you know what they discover.

I have a obgyn app to talk about prior M/C and to talk about ttc. I'm ttc this month and if pg happens my dr wants to watch me like a hawk. I'm also going to talk to him about medications that are safe to take dealing with the anxiety of my mother dying! I hope this helps.

Laney, I'm so sorry you have to fight an infection.  I'm so glad that you will begin to feel sane and I'm sure your poor husband will be relieved and not fear for his wellbeing :-)

Val, how is your incision doing?

I had an appt this am with the Nurse Practitioner at my gyn/oncs office. She was wonderful. Gave me the vivelle dot patch. She said what Im experiencing is 100% normal because 45 yr olds don't go through menopause so dramatically as I have with surgical menopause.  I hope it helps. It should. I have my post op appt with the surgeon on Nov 14th. I guess I have an infection at the vaginal cuff suture line. I had increased bleeding yesterday and thought I saw a little green/pus discharge. She confirmed it. So now Im on more antibiotics.....ugh. Oh well, glad it was caught now rather than in 2 weeks at my f/u.

It's a great idea for us to keep track of everyones progress. I'm having my final post-op on Nov.11. I can't wait for it to finally be finished, and to be able to ask the doctor about the HRT I'd like to give a shot.
