I think I may have a ovarian cyst...im only 21

Hi i just turned 21 last weekend...i have been sick for more then a year now...but in the last 4 months ive been getting sharp pains in my lower  abdomine worse on the left side (when the pain starts I can hardly move..because of the intensity of the pain) and i get weird pains trew my legs ( i cant stay still when my legs are like that). I go for weeks at a time were i cant eat and i have these massive headacks to. I also find that im always tired and needing more sleep ( but i get almost 12 hours a day).....I now somethings wrong but my dr. wont do anything even after i told her were i was hurting. My dr. is like that she never does anything until you end up in the hospital.  Im reading everything you guys are talking about (ovarian cyst) and it sounds like what i have.  But i dont now what to do ... who to talk to...

im having trouble like you but my symptoms are only pain,
my first doctor (who specialises in gynacology)  told me it was because im fat, im 17 years old and 11st, overweight yes but not terribly. so i changed my doctor who started some tests like blood and urine and ultrasounds but found nothing so told me there was nothing wrong. i was still in a lot of pain and i knew there was something wrong and so my third doctor is doing all the tests he can just a little slow and the pain is getting worse so im planning on going to the emergancy room.
the only advice i can give is not to give up, keep pestering until they do something or go to the emergancy room because the longer you wait the worse it will get.
good luck hun.

If you are sure you can't level with your doctor and get her to order a transvaginal ulatrasound I would recommend two possibilities.  First, find a new doctor.  If that is impossible shwn your pain is bad head to the hospital and hopefully you will get tested there and have a starting point.  We know our bodies and mustn't ignore these issues.  Good luck to you.  Let us know how it goes.
