GOOD LUCK!!! yes, i too am sooo thankful for modern medicine! I guess for us the asprin, and vitamins ( and hten heparin once pregnant) really was the answer after ALL those years!! crazy! I had my daughter at 37 weeks exactly and she did great! 7 lbs 11 oz! :) Keep us updated!! Thanks helen!! how are you?
this is my first time on heparin...i had a horrible mc back in early 2008 that almost took my life from the hemorraging...testing showed my blood clotting disorder....got preg again and mc'd again....this is my first preg on heparin and im so excited i have made it this far...im finally having a girl :)
i go for my next u/s tomorrow to check on her growth and my cervix...not only do i have the blood clotting issue i have also had a short cervix that they have been watching closely...tomorrow is my 30 week u/s and they mentioned at my last appt that around 32-34 weeks they will start doing the NT testing and ill prob be in weekly so they can monitor the baby but now i understand why
im waiting to see what is going on with an induction...last time at 25 weeks the baby was already 2.1 lbs and they said in the 72% percentile growth wise....so they say she's a big baby...i was also told that i would not go past 39 weeks but they guessed between 37-39 weeks....im just wishing for a healthy baby and hoping to make it to 37 weeks with my cervix
congrats to you too on your BFP...im trutly thankful for modern medicine
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BIG congrats on your bfp!
Thanks so much! Ok, looks like my old heparin was manufactured by APP (which - they were the big manufacturers after Baxter had to shut down production after the Quaid and other people/babies had problems with the heparin) Looks like the new heparin is made by Baxter with the new labeling they have to use. It always freaks me out to change anything, im still nervous to use it, but it does look like the correct dosage and everything. Waitn- I have had them in plastic and glass as well, never know why and I don't like the inconsistency, who knows why they do that to us haha.. and Yes, they wanted to induce me, however she wasn't dropping down into my pelvis after consistent strong contractions every 2 minutes- she was too big to fit they believed, so we did a c section (which I was fine with vs. risking her getting stuck) that was at 37 weeks! :)
. We did BIophysical profiles every single week from week 32 on though (nonstress tests + detailed sonograms) to make sure that she was growing well and the placenta wasn't showing any signs of shutting down due to the clotting disorder. They kept a very close eye on me after 4 or 5 (gosh i can't remember anymore!) miscarriages before her + fertility probelms to get there! SO SO Thankful and in total shock about our current BFP! When are you due??? SOOOO excigted for ya!
in regards to the #s i mentioned they are lot#'s and dates...i noticed the glass bottles expire sooner than the plastic one but all my bottles def have a brown label on them
It just might be manufactured by a different company. Also they do tend to change their labels. If you are unsure just call your pharmacy and I am sure they will be able to answer your questions. Congratulations.
im currently on heparin and my labels are what you describe...i also notice that some of my bottles are glass and others are plastic...it freaks me out but the lab #s are different so it makes sense
congrats on the BFP...this is my first time on heparin and im currenlty 29 weeks
were you induced early because of heparin with your last pregnancy?
