16w4d and not feeling pregnant anymore...scared!

I know this may sound ridiculous, but for the last day or two, I don't feel pregnant anymore and I'm scared. I can still hear the heartbeat and it's going strong between 140-155, but things feel so different.

The last two weeks, my appetite had come back and I was eating ALL the time...now, I'm back to like I was pre-pregnancy where I'm just not hungry, but I'm not nauseated either.

The last two days, my bbs have DEFINITELY stopped being so sore (and again, they were getting bigger and sorer for the last week or so)...there's barely any pain at all.

The cramps have increased again (I wasn't really having any there for awhile) and now they are back.  And my lower back has started hurting again.

My mood had stabilized and I was genuinely calm and happy the last week or so, but yesterday and this morning, I'm just grumpy and crabby!

I don't feel like I'm showing or getting any bigger.

My next appt isn't until next Thursday (9/3) and I'm just nervous. I'm scared that while the heartbeat is still there, the baby isn't growing and the hb will just stop one of these days.  Why is this panic happening again? I know to stay calm, but I can't stop the fears...

Some days I'd feel like my stomach actually got smaller through my second pregnancy-  then it would feel huge again...  I'd say everything is just fine with this little one, and you are just freaked out because of all you went through to get pregnant this time....  try not to worry...  it all sounds normal to me!  At least you might not get any stretch marks with the amount of lotion you are putting on your tummy obsessing over listening to the heartbeat!  ;)

Welcome to the honeymoon trimester!  Most women start feeling back to normal around 14 weeks.  Also, I did not start to show till I was 22 weeks.  So, don't worry and take it easy!

I'm 17 weeks and most times I don't feel pregnant anymore. I think as we get further along most our symptoms disapear and the ones that donbt, well we get so used to them we jsut don't notice as much.

Courtcoop - thanks for the reassuring words. I can't get in to the doctor even if they would see me, so I'll just have to have some faith that it's okay.

Heather - I do have a home doppler and that's what I meant that the hb is still between 140-155, so I do KNOW that everything is okay, but it's just so hard to feel so good. What a bizarre concept, eh?

I'm going to do my A.M Beginner's Chi routine to calm my breath and hopefully my nerves.  Maybe it will help with the cramps, too!

It's quite normal to go through a "honeymoon" period in your second trimester.  It's when most women say that they finally feel good, after the morning sickness and other aches and pains.

When I was in the second trimester, I remember there were days that I did not feel pregnant, because I really felt good.  My bb's didn't hurt, the morning sickness was gone, than WHAM, that's when I started feeling the little flutters.  As long as you say that your bb's are still getting larger, that is a healthy sign of pregnancy.

I totally agree with "Courtcoop."  I would call your doctor and tell him that you are super concerned for the well-being of the baby.  If they won't do an u/s, you can be reassured that all is well with the doppler, to listen to the baby's heartbeat..maybe some sounds of the baby moving around also.

What you are experiencing after all the stress you have been under with your house, it's no wonder you are feeling this way.  Make that call to the doctor.  Maybe even invest in a home doppler, so when you have these periods of not feeling that everything is alright; you can listen to the baby's heartbeat anytime you want and feel reassured.

All the best, little worrying mommie.  I am sure that everything is fine.

Heather

You kow i have heard of this happening throughout normal pregnancies (feeling like no longer prego)  it is a normal fear from what i see which all have resulted perfectly normal pregnancies.

Please do not panic...call the DR and take the test/US to reassure your mind.  DEMAND it if they say all is fine dont worry.

The last thing mommy needs to do is panic.

Relax, call DR and get US done, you will feel better ...but I guarentee its nothing to worry about..
