what are you naming your baby?

I thought it might be cool to share if you have chosen a name yet. My husband and I have decided not to tell anyone our name b/c of the comments we recieved early on. Unfortuntely we both accidently spilled it to our parents. We are both so used to just saying her name outloud all the time........I told my mom over the phone in conversation and when his parents visited for family day he said it! oops on us. Other than them we havent told anyone and I thought this would be a great place to finally share!!

We have chosen Brielle Grace Elaine....grace after my mom and elaine after his. When we told his mom she didnt seem that excited, I found out from my sil she doesnt like the name elaine so although she is flattered she just doesnt like the name elaine. I may talk to her and see if there is another family name she would prefer us to use, but thus far with talking to my sil there isnt really anything that sounds good with Breille Grace ( fay, gloria, mae)
We chose Brielle sorta by accident, we were having such a hard time so I bought the largest baby name book I could buy. I went though with a pink highlighter and highlighted the names I liked. He then started to go though with blue. He got to H and I saw that Breille was the first name we both highlighted, I asked him what he thought and we agreed we both liked it. It has stuck every since!  No other name seemed to fit. The meaning of the name is very important to me and my step dad when I looked it up online and saw it means " God is my strength" I was excited and it make my decision easy.

So I guess share your name and tell us why you picked it! maybe we can help those of us who are still having trouble!

I love all the names y'all picked out!  Abbie I love the name Zephyr!  That's such a bold, unusual name!  I wish I had the ability to pick out something that was so unique!  So far we're stuck on Brody Bryan.  My BF's name is Brady Bryan and I've always loved his name.  Brody is just a name that we both are really, really drawn to.  BF says he wants the baby to have his same middle name and seems pretty set on that.  I'm not crazy about the fact that the baby's name will only be one letter off from his daddy's name, but how often does the middle name actually come up?  Hardly ever.  So I think his name will be fine.  We have a 3D scheduled for tomorrow and hopefully the name will fit his beautiful little face!

Well in the beginning we had Kyle Ann picked out...I know it is an unusual name for a girl, but it was the first one Aaron (DH) and i agreed on.  Ann is my mom's middle name. We weren't telling anyone except for our two best freinds and it was great.  Well then i was having second thoughts about it and did a poll on another forum and got really negative results for it.  Some actually brought me to tears even though they were completely reasonable.
So we talked about it and i think we have decided on Kyra Marie.  Still using a family name as the middle (both of our great g-mas).  So now we aren't telling anyone except for you ladies...It is really killing my MIL!!!  I'm kind of enjoying that part of it :)

We've picked Faith Rebekah.

My DH and I decided while we were still dating that we wanted all of our children to have biblical names (first and middle), since we are both very religious and wanted to reflect that in the naming of our kids.  Our son is Luke Nicholas.  We landed on Luke because DH's mother loved the name (and we do too) and Nicholas after my hubby.  The name Nicholas is mentioned in the Bible but we are not told anything about him.  The meaning of Luke is "light" or "truth" and Nicholas is "victor" or "champion."  So we think of Luke's name as meaning "champion of truth."

Faith Rebekah was landed on because Faith is my cousin and best friend's name.  She also so happens to be the person who introduced me and my hubby, so it seems fitting to name a baby after her.  The meaning is self explanatory.  Rebekah was my grandmother's middle name.  So, it's basically a family name.

My husband loves Zephyr and I do too but I think Isla would be much cuter as a first name. Isla Zephyr or Zephyr Isla but she would still end up going by Zephy lol if Zephyr is her first name. Depends where you look but it means 'westwind' or mischevious monkey which is the meaning we love. as I love monkies and that is the theme of the baby room Jungle, monkey, rainforest lol

I've had my named picked out since before DH and I thought about getting pregnant.  I've always wanted Reece (wasn't sure on the middle name) and Emma Grace for a girl.  So, hopefully, if everything goes well with Reece's delivery and doesn't scare me off of having anymore children, we can be blessed with a girl next and use our name.

I love all the names we all have picked out.  Can't wait to see these babies...

we wanted something different but not weird! no apples here, my husbands name is Connor and although its popular now it sure wasnt when he was young. His sisters name is Jessa which again is unique. My mil liked jessica but Jessica kenny didnt go so she said she took the IC out and out came Jessa. She said its like Gabrielle without the GA. lol> kinda a family joke I guess.
I really like everyones names I think we have all picked unique names that mean something special.

Kiki- I vote for JoLynn. I think it flows nicely with Addyson
Krushing- i love that Reece is your maden name, I have a friend who did that with hers, (davis)
Tarrah-that is a very special meaning and I think with Ava is sounds very pretty, I like when girls names are pretty when you say them!!
fawn- maybe this sounds dumb but i like your boys names together, they sound like threy were ment to be brothers!
Jen- i love grace as well, i was happy to put my moms name in their, grace is just a pretty name and even though its popular now i think as a middle name it goes with alot and its timeless.
joyce- what if you used a unique name you both like for her first name and then carolyn for the middle name after your mom? I know how you feel, we had a very hard time with names, once we picked Brielle we just knew, i think you will find your'll just know all of a sudden, maybe it will be after she has arrived!
mommy2b- i love Asa for a boy!! and i love the meaning, i may have to log that for baby # 2!!

i love the middle name rayne but wanted to use it as a middle name it also means "blessings from heaven" and since my past history of miscarriages/losses, it fit very well, and i love the name ava, madison was just a name i have heard of alot that i liked and went well with rayne, and emma is my bf's aunts name that helped raise and take care of him, but she goes my her middle name jean, and we went with a j name as well so instead of emma jean we went with emma jaide. jaide isn't very common around here and i think it went well. BUT..... i think we are going to go with ava rayne, but no guarentee's until she arrives lol
and i like the name you picked out hkenny, its very diff and unique.

Well, we've chosen Reece Hewett.  Reece is my maiden name and Hewett is DH's father's middle name.  DH and his dad are both Daniel and DH didn't want another Daniel, nor did he want "Heath" which is what DH goes by.  So, we chose R.H. and are sticking with it.  We already have things monogrammed and stuff, so he better look  like a Reece, lol!

honestly even with all of the polls i have put out, i have not decided on ANY name yet...only that i would like to include part of my mom's name in it. my mother's name was Carolyn Sue.  yes from the south (grandfather from missouri, grandmother from arkasas and although mom was born in Flint, MI....she has the southern/hillbilly (as my dad called it)name.) anyhow just not sure yet.... i have thought of TONS of names, but bf wants something totally differant and i am not so sure i like what he picks out. maybe i am being selfish as i have named 2 out of 3 of my kids by myself...with my youngest i was still kinda drugged up and when hubby at the time mentioned Hunter Michael it stuck.
so anyhow.....i have not and will not have a 3D u/s so wont know what our little girl is gonna really look like, i know with my daughter whose name is Caitlin Elizabeth.... i chose her name AFTER she was born...she was going to be Rebecca Lynn but didnt look like a Rebecca when she was born....lol

i will post though as soon as i figure it out...lol
btw love all of the names you ladies have chosen so far...

Well, my little girl's name is Nicole Grace.  Nicole because her father has always loved that name for a girl and grace is because my favorite movie is Armaggedon (sp) and I love liv tyler's character, which happens to be named Grace.  We can call her Nikki Gracie, lol!!

I really like Brielle I've never heard it before but it sounds pretty, I love the meaning as well! Tarrah those are pretty names, I'm excited to see which one you pick. Asa is another unique name you don't hear everyday which I love and Asa Jarrell goes together really nice. We picked Noah Joaquin for our little guy we already have a Nathan Isaiah and both names are Biblical and I like the meanings. Noah means Peace or Comfort and Joaquin means God will establish.

Well all knows we are going with Addyson, Jeremy picked it and I liked it so it stuck, now the middle name still a huge debate, I know almost everyone likes Lynn better but I truley love JoLynn, I think it's pretty and it is mine and my moms middle name, and if you want to get technical it's his moms middle name as well ( mine & MIL is both Lynn, moms is Jo) but my DH does not like my mom at all, which he has reason, BUT she will always be my mother! So I'm not sure if he will stay so dead against it or not, it might end up being somthing completely different if we don't agree on somthing soon!

Those are beautiful names... I am having a boy and naming him Asa Jarrell... Asa is from the Bible and means "Doctor/Healer" and Jarrell means "spear ruler" but honestly, I just felt like Jarrell fit well with the first name and my husband and I both loved the first name Asa, so it just kinda fell together... we actually thought we were having a girl at first, so we had not decided at first on a boys name... if we'd had a girl, it would've been Kiyah Elizabeth.

I vote for Ava Rayne.  I am slightly worried that when she comes out she wont look like a brielle, but after the 3 d it still seemed to fit.
Any special reasons for the 3 names you listed?
