eating for before an induction

They told me not to eat anything past midnight before my 6 am induction. What's the difference if you est right before you go into labor? I don't get it. So tmrw I'm gonna be starving -.- I think I'm gonna eat anyways. If I get sick, I get sick

My sister had to have a c-section even know her water broke on its own and they made her wait 6 hours before doing the csection

..well more than likely she will be in labor at least 8 hours anyway before they would put her to a csection so there's absolutely no reason for her not to eat

@ shinieshoes it'll be afternoon before they even start labor. I don't think they'd say c section before they even gave me pitocin

Your not supposed to eat 8 hrs before any surgery. If God forbid something happens and you do need to go under general anesthesia they don't want you to throw up while you're intubated. It's just a precaution.

Mommabear- yea they male you wait 24 he after labor to eat(unless you have the baby all natural without any drugs)  you also have to pee and poop b4 they let you eat -.- its so stupid I don't think they do it in every state but NC and SC do this crap
