RLS or something else
My husbands left leg starts jerking every 8 seconds when he first falls asleep. Once he is asleep it no longer happens. What is it that is causing that? RLS or something different?

Hi there!

This does not typically sound like RLS. The symptoms could be within normal limits or could represent a sleep disorder. I would suggest considering an initial evaluation by a primary care physician and depending on the cause diagnosed/ suspected, it can be managed accordingly or specialist care may be sought.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
