"Protected" Condom Sex with Professional Sex Worker

Dear Doc,

A couple of days ago I visited a professional sex worker. I've noticed that she had big marks of rape os somekind of abuse. She put me a condom, cleaned my body with wet wipes and started doing me oral sex. After a few minutes she inserted my penis into her vagina and very gently started to move up and down...it took me a minute before I pushed her away telling her that I want oral sex only. She continued with oral sex... After the intecourse I asked for a wet whipe and pulled down the condom, not touching it. Than I went to the bathroom and washed my penis with soap - I used a lot of soap and water, but didn't take a shawer. I didn't touch her vagina nor mouth, but massaged her breasts. I've been reading articles and formums for STDs since than and got VERY CONFUSED. I guess some of her vaginal fluids got in touch with my body or some saliva got in touch with my body.

Please tell me what are the chances I got STDs from the described stupid mistake I made?

I'm SCARED TO DEATH about my family as I have a life and we've been trying to have a baby.

Well, I don't know what kind of marks she had, but I'm assuming they were scars.  If they were fully healed, you have nothing to worry about from those.

You had protected sex, for a short time, so that's not really a concern.

You could get syphilis or gonorrhea from the unprotected oral sex.  You could also get herpes type 1 from that, but if you've ever had a cold sore, you don't need to worry about it.  You can test for gonorrhea about a week after the encounter, and syphilis can take up to 6 weeks to show on a test.

If you are worried about infecting your wife, why would you have sex with another woman?  That is contradicting your concern for your wife.
