Yet another lesion

Doc HHH (Doctor HHH answered my previous question)

I tought I would ask about another lesion I developed on my penis just a few days ago. This one is right beneth the penis head so i don't believe it can be a pimple. This lesion is hard to describe but it started out as a "bump", though I hesitate to call it a bump as I was never sure it really was a bump or just a raised area or something. Anyways after a a day or two after it appeared it has resolved in this peeling skin/maybe flaky skin lesion. What can this be? This lesion never hurt to touch, and it was single and it wasn't particularly red, it just looked "shinny".

In this forum I have read that herpes lesions always cause overt genital sores. What do you mean by overt? does it mean that when there is a herpes lesion that is open it is unmistakebly open and sore or can it cause sores we can't really be sure whether it is open or not?

Finnaly, all these lesions that have happened in the past two-three weeks (not at once) are convincing me that I had a false negative test result back in April. What should I do doc? I am in distress...

Thanks

I would like to help, but I really don't think spending any more time or money (including this latest $15) on this forum is going to be useful for you.  I shut down your thread of 3 weeks ago because it wasn't useful for you to keep asking, or for me to keep answering, additional questions about lesions, when the lab tests clearly show you don't have herpes.  Please get this straight:  the blood tests outweigh symptoms in deciding about herpes, especially when enough time has passed for the blood tests to become positive.  Your test results prove that your penile rash or lesions are not due to herpes.

Further, your description in the opening paragraph doesn't even hint at herpes; and the sequence you seem to think favors herpes (sequential lesions over 2-3 weeks, not all at once) is just the opposite:  that pattern is a strong argument against herpes.

The only possible way to know the cause of your penile rash (or spots, or flaking, or whatever you want to call it) is to show it to a health care provider, such as a dermatologist.  Trying to get a diagnosis on line, whether in this forum or any other web site, is never going to get you anywhere.  You can be sure it isn't herpes, but that's all I can say.  Please accept that -- and no more questions about it.
