? Symptoms of Addison's Disease

I have been nauseaous since 11/07 I have had been tested head to toe and alll came back normal.  My symtpoms are nausea, night sweats, very neurvous stomach like panic attacks.  It happens alot at night but the panic attacks are alot during the day.  I am going for a fasting cortizol test but the more I read about Addison's I am wondering if this is what I have.  Can someone share thier symptoms with me or does it sound like my symptoms are Addison?

Just learning about Addison's - but I hopefully am not there. I due have adrenal distress and should be talking with a bio identicial doctor on May 16. I am excited - hopefully I will get my answers. My cort level in am is 10 - not bad but a little low. I had just basic blood work no ACTH or saliva yet - Other doctor would not do it.

I say go right for the 24 hr saliva test . You can order it online yourself if needed and in some cases it is cheaper to do that.

Good luck with the fasting cortisol test!  From what I've read though, they aren't the most accurate tests.  So, if it comes back "Normal" don't be discouraged!  I'd try and see if you can get a saliva cortisol test, or an ACTH stimulation test.  Losing 16 lbs that fast without trying definitely seems like an Addison's symptom.  Have you been given any anti-anxiety medication?  That might help calm you down until all this gets figured out.  I'm going to try that myself.  Definitely keep in touch, or message me...it is so good to have people to talk to about all this ****!!

Are you getting an ACTH stimulation test done?  Or a coritsol saliva test?  I just had an ACTH stimulation test done on 4-21, and that endo told me that my adrenals were "beautiful".  Well, another opinion by a different doctor was that my adrenals are barely functioning, and I'm on the road to getting Addison's.  Right now my symptoms have been horrible anxiety, very aggressive/defensive for no reason, cranky and the littlest thing sets me off, heart palpitations, night sweats and some nausea.  It's like I can not tolerate the smallest stress, I just go nuts.  It's not like me, as I'm a pretty laid back person.  I'm seeing my regular doctor next week, to figure out my treatment.  I'm not sure if I will just need to take adrenal cortex, or if I need steroids.

I really hope you get some answers with this test!  When are you scheduled for the test?  Please let me know how it turns out!
