Check-in

I haven't checked in to the board in a while, busy with summer and being back to work after my 6 week "cancer vacation".  The reason I am doing so is because when I was on the board searching for answers after my dx in March, I lamented how there weren't a ton of positive stories on here about sort of the "post surgery and treatment" of Thyca.  Well, I'm here to report that I am feeling REALLY GOOD.  I have my first blood tests after my treatment coming up in a few weeks, so I will have a better idea of the management of my cancer then, but as for how I feel on the meds- I FEEL REALLY GOOD.  I feel like myself.  I have energy, mental clarity, and just generally feel like me.  I'm shocked that I have only had one dose of the Synthroid (125) and it seems to be right on the money.

Anyway, I hope everyone is doing well and feeling good.  I just wanted to share that for others who are looking for a positive experience to hang their hopes on for their own case.  Hang in there.  The Thyca journey goes on for the rest of your life, but the tough stuff is only in short bursts and is totally manageable.

All my love and blessings for your greatest good,
Shannon
